摘要： A coin sorting and counting machine and a method for operating it to automatically dispense cash vouchers based on the value of the counted coins, manufacturers' coupons and store coupons. Coins are placed in a hopper tray angled downward from the horizontal. When the hinged tray is lifted, the coins travel over a peak structure, through a waste management system and into the coin sorting and counting apparatus. The value of the coins and the number of coins within each denomination are displayed as the coins are counted. The coins fall into a storage area and the user is issued a cash voucher and a series of manufacturer coupons.

摘要： A ticket issuing apparatus includes a feeding path sheets of ticket paper on which magnetic stripes are formed, a feeding mechanism for feeding the ticket paper along the feeding path, a recording section provided on the feeding path for recording ticket data on the magnetic stripe of the ticket paper, a readout section provided on the feeding path for reading out the ticket data from the magnetic stripe of the ticket paper which has passed the recording section, a printing section provided on the feeding path for printing display data on the ticket paper, and a ticket evaluation section for checking the ticket data read out by the readout section. In the ticket issuing apparatus, the ticket evaluation section causes the feeding mechanism to feed the ticket paper back to the recording section when the ticket data recorded for the first time is detected to be erroneously recorded, checks the ticket data which has been recorded again and read out by the readout section, and determines the ticket paper as an ineffective ticket when the ticket data is detected to the erroneously recorded again.

摘要： A ticket-issuing system comprising an alphabetical keyboard which permits, through a suitable circuit arrangement, introduction into the data processing section of the system the name of a station of destination by omitting from the station name one or more letters. Instead, each group of omitted letters is represented by depressing a key which indicates such omission. After such keying operation, there will appear on the video display of the system either the name of the desired destination, or a list of names of destinations which satisfy the introduced request. The destinations appearing on the video display are accompanied by a code number which permits the operator to definitively key the destination into the machine for the issuance of the ticket. The ticket-issuing machine further comprises an immediate selection keyboard, presenting a plurality of keys for the immediate selection of a number of destinations which are the most frequently requested from the station at which the system is located.

摘要： This ticket making machine is capable of issuing a single ticket without waste of ticket stock. A web of ticket stock having a magnetic stripe record surface is arranged to be advanced around a rotating carrier having a magnetic recording unit and one ticket (web) parting member arranged internally threof. The web is passed between the rotating carrier and a complementary ticket (web) parting member. The peripheral speed of the rotating carrier is very much greater than the speed of the advancing web, whereby the information is magnetically recorded in close to conventional manner. The one parting member is a double-ended anvil arranged to be rotated into and out of position for parting the web in cooperation with a blade forming the complementary parting member. A camming surface arrangement in the same frame structure as the carrier and web are mounted and a cam follower coupled to the anvil toggles the latter on demand for exerting relatively light force for engaging the two in parting the web. Wire and/or ink-jet printer apparatus is arranged on the frame structure for printing the desired information in human readable form in addition to the magnetic recording.
