    摘要: An antenna array for a liquid crystal display able to function without a phase shifter includes at least two antenna units, each with an antenna module and a controlling circuit. The antenna module is at the side of a first substrate, a grounding layer, a feeding portion, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer also being included as a stack. The grounding layer and the feeding portion are on sides of the second substrate. The controlling circuit controls rotation of liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer therein to change a dielectric constant between the grounding layer and the antenna. The operating frequency of each antenna unit is thereby changed and radiation beam or pattern of the antenna array is thereby adjusted.

    摘要: Subject of the invention is a connection system for the measurement, observation and manipulation of events depending on, or independent from each other taking place in a large number of telephone circuits, furthermore for the preliminary supervision center. The connection system consists of traffic meter unit and efficiency meter connected to the examined circuits and common units of the telephone exchange, furthermore matching and control bus with the connected data processing and data separator unit, as well as data input and output unit connected to the data processing and data separator unit. The output data transfer wires of the traffic meter unit and efficiency meter are connected to the matching and control bus. One input of the traffic meter unit is interconnected with the output of the storage unit of the talking state of efficiency meter. Depending on the operation supervision functions the data transfer wires of the control supervision unit, output control unit, tariff control apparatus, service quality control unit and transfer unit are connected to the matching and control bus.

    摘要: A universal rack architecture management system provides a single point of administration and management through use of a novel universal management appliance. The universal management appliance enables communication between it and at least one serial console device. The universal management appliance also allows for remote control of: a server, a storage array module, a multi-interface module, a firewall, an uninterruptable power supply, a power distribution unit, a computer, a serial console device, and other manageable devices. The universal management appliance also manages an IPMI capable server, including iDRAC, iLO IMM, and ILOM. The universal management appliance monitors and receives real-time telemetry. The universal management appliance uses standard network, IPMI, USB, or Serial (DB9) interfaces. The universal management appliance automatically sends real-time predictive and actual failure notifications and alerts. The universal management appliance operates on an independent base operating system. The system consumes minimal amounts of electricity and generates nominal BTU/heat.

    摘要: With the aid of a traffic simulator telephone exchanges can be tested, the simulator imitating the traffic conditions in the exchange. To that end, the traffic simulator of the invention comprises, in addition to circuit means for simulating subscriber and line behavior, a program-controlled control arrangement connected thereto which generates random variables such as call distances, call durations and reaction periods, controls the test run and checks the reactions of the exchange, and also mixes the exchange-technical parameters. To obtain a realistic picture of the traffic conditions, a plurality of subscriber and line simulation are provided which are changeable in dependence on the reaction of the exchange. On the basis of the exchange reaction (signifying an event) a realistic picture of the external conditions of the exchange are obtained by linking such reactions with random variables and event instants.

    摘要: This invention is concerned with a processor-overload relief facility in a time division multiplex (t.d.m.) processor-controlled exchanges. Under overload conditions rejection of new calls may be required until this condition is relieved and this proposal is to meet the relief function by peripheral hardware while retaining the ability to process emergency (999) calls during overload. An incoming signalling unit which is responsive to incoming seize, dialling and other signals, is provided with multi-bit stores on a one per channel basis; each such store interfacing with processor on a read/write basis. Normally the signalling unit responds to any incoming channel-seized condition and sets the `seize` bit (S) in the appropriate channel store which reports seizure to the processor. Dialled pulses are detected and accumulated in the store, and each complete digit is transferred to the processor for call control purposes. During overload conditions a common control circuit inhibits (except in the case of channel stores already receiving an S signal) certain normal transfer paths between the signalling unit and channel stores but a transfer path is left open if a 999 call is received on a level 9 circuit of the exchange, so that a new seize signal can be diverted to another storage location whereupon a "999 signal with channel identity" is transmitted to the processor.
