Abstract:
The invention relates to a data collection and monitoring system for at least one defined space (1) within a public or commercial facility, comprising: a plurality of sensors (5a, 7a, 9a, 10a, 11) each monitoring a predetermined parameter; and a data collecting unit (12) arranged for communicating with said sensors (5a, 7a, 9a, a, 11) within a range (r) of communication which corresponds to the extent of said defined space (1), with at least one mobile device (17) for a user (16) and with a central server (14) which is associated with a storage medium (15). The storage medium (15) is adapted for storing and monitoring data related to said sensors (5a, 10 7a, 9a, 10a, 11). According to the invention, said data collecting unit (12) is arranged for forwarding data relating to the sensors (5a, 7a, 9a, 10a, 11) to the mobile device (4) when the mobile device (17) enters said space (1).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method that is performed in a mobile device (1) through execution of a first mobile application for monitoring use of a hygiene product (12) worn by a wearer (17). The method comprises the step of providing information related to the hygiene product based on the voiding behaviour of the product-wearer. Furthermore, the method comprises the steps of retrieving, from a database (8) shared by a plurality of different mobile applications (A1-A4), information that is relevant to the voiding behaviour of the wearer, obtained by means of at least a second mobile application being different than said first mobile application, and providing the product-related information based on the retrieved information. The access to voiding relevant information obtained by other mobile applications allows the first mobile application to provide well-founded recommendations to the product-wearer as to the use of the hygiene product.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for monitoring use of an absorbent product, such as an incontinence pad or a diaper, worn by a wearer. The method comprises the steps of registering (S4) a movement of the wearer by means of a mobile device (1) comprising a movement sensing device (2), evaluating (S5) whether the registered movement is indicative of urinary and/or faecal voiding by the wearer, and providing (S6) product-related information to the wearer or a caregiver of the wearer based on said evaluation. In this way, the product-wearer or his caregiver can be provided with valuable information related to the use of the product, for example recommendations on when to change the product, displayed on the mobile device or a mobile device of the caregiver.
Abstract:
An absorbent article comprising an absorbent pad and a belt to which the pad is detachably attached and which is intended to be attached to a separate belt that is placed around the waist of the wearer to hold the pad when the article is being worn, wherein the absorbent pad exhibits a chassis comprising a liquid-permeable top sheet and a liquid-impermeable back sheet oriented away from the wearer and an absorbent core between the top sheet and the back sheet. The difference in kinetic coefficients of friction measured with ASTM D 1894-08 standard between the back sheet of the pad and the outwardly oriented surface of the belt is at maximum 0.5. The attachment between the belt and the pad will then not cease due to the movement of the article relative to the surroundings when the belted-article is being used, thereby preventing contamination and leakage caused by detachment.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for assisting in locating the occurrence of at least one item (4; 13) in a storage location (1), comprising at least the following steps, performed by a mobile device (6) comprising an image capturing device (7): capturing at least one image or video sequence or live video feed representing said storage location (1) by means of said image capturing device (7); recognizing any occurrence of said item (13) within the field of view of said image capturing device (7); and presenting information related to the location of said item (13).
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for monitoring use of an absorbent product, such as an incontinence pad or a diaper, worn by a wearer. The method comprises at least the steps of obtaining (S3), by means of a mobile device (1), intake information indicative of intake of fluid and/or solid edible material by the wearer, obtaining (S4), by means of the mobile device (1), voiding information indicative of urinary and/or faecal voiding by the wearer, predicting (S5), based on the intake and voiding information, future voiding by the wearer, and providing (S6), by means of the mobile device (1), product-related information based on said prediction. In this way, the product-wearer or his caregiver can be provided with valuable information related to the use of the product, for example recommendations on whent o change the product.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for measuring the absorption of fluid in an absorbent product (9), comprising at least the following steps, performed by a mobile device (1) comprising an image capturing device (2): capturing at least one image of a used absorbent product (9); determining a measure of absorption of fluid by said product (9) based on image information in the captured image; and displaying information relating to the use of the absorbent product based said measure of absorption of fluid on said mobile device (1). By means of the invention, there is provided an improved method and apparatus for aiding a user of absorbent product to choose the right type of product for the user's individual needs.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a pant mainly adapted to hold an absorbent pad therein. The pant comprises front part (2; 32), a back part (4; 34) and a crotch part (3; 33), a waist portion and a pair of leg openings. The pant further comprises a suspending member (8; 38) formed of elastic material and comprising zones of different elasticity. A first elastic zone (9; 39) having a relatively higher elongation is provided in a longitudinally extending central region of the crotch part (3; 33), and a pair of second elastic zones (10a, b; 40a, b) having a relatively lower elongation extend along both sides of the first elastic zone at or close to the leg openings in the crotch part. The first and second elastic zones extend to the front part with the second elastic zones extending along both sides of the first zone. A third zone (1 1; 41 ) having a relatively lower elongation as compared to the first elastic zone may extend longitudinally along a central region of the back part (4).
Abstract:
An absorbent article includes side panels for securing around the waist of the user. The absorbent article includes a first end, a second end, and an absorbent section therebetween. The first end has longitudinal side edges and a first waist line edge. A pair of side panels extend from longitudinal side edges of said first end of the absorbent article, and are shaped and dimensioned so as extend beyond the first waist line edge of the first end of the absorbent article a longitudinal extent so that the side panels may be secured above the hip joints of the user.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for printing graphics on a material used for various parts of absorbent articles. A continuous web of material is fed between a print roller and an impression roller in a machine direction. The print roller includes a plurality of parallel bars oriented in a cross direction, where the bars are oriented at an offset angle so as to be inclined relative to an axis parallel to the cross direction of the material.
