Abstract:
Present invention provides a tire (1) intended to be mounted on a mounting rim, the tire comprising a summit (2) surrounded on both sides by sidewalls (3) terminating in beads (4) provided to cooperate with the mounting rim of the tire, the tire comprising a carcass reinforcement (5) extending in the summit and the sidewalls, and anchored at its two ends in the beads, the carcass reinforcement being surmounted radially on the outside by a summit reinforcement (6) composed of a plurality of reinforcing plies (61, 62, 63), said summit reinforcement being surmounted radially on the outside by a tread (10) intended to come into contact with a ground during use of the tire, the tire comprising in its summit, at least one cavity (1 1) acting as a resonator and in fluid communication with the outside of the tire, when the tire is mounted onto a mounting rim each cavity (1 1) having an appropriate volume to form a calibrated resonator to attenuate the noise in a frequency range between 500 and 2000 Hz, the tire being characterized in that each cavity (11) is arranged substantially uniformly in the circumferential direction and is filled with a fibrous or a filamentary material.
Abstract:
Tyre comprising a hooping reinforcement (100), which reduces the tire noise emission, wherein the axial distance between neighbouring portions of the hooping reinforcement is greater than or equal to 0.7 mm and smaller than or equal to 2mm, with the exception of one first axial region Ll and two second axial regions L2. The axial distance of each of the axial ends of the first axial region Ll from the median plane is greater than or equal to 0.05-S and smaller than or equal to 0.15-S, S being the maximum axial width of the tyre. The two regions L2 are provided on both sides of the median plane, each second axial region being centred at an axial distance D2 from the median plane, D2 being greater than or equal to 0.25-S and smaller than or equal to 0.4-S. Each second axial region L2 has an axial width W2 that is greater than or equal to 0.1 -S. The sum of the axial widths of the first and second axial regions is smaller than or equal to 0.5-S. The difference between the average axial distance between neighbouring portions of the hooping reinforcement in the first and second axial regions Ll and L2, and the distance outside the first and second axial regions Ll and L2 is at least 0.2 mm. tyre having a belt ply with cords disposed along the circumference of the tire to reduce the tire noise
