Abstract:
A method for monitoring physiological conditions of an individual including capturing images according to predefined capture criteria of one or more body regions of the individual on an ongoing basis; transforming the captured images in response to capture conditions present during image capture to provide a normalized image; calculating wellness parameters based on the normalized image; storing system data, including the normalized image, capture parameters, normalization transforms, or wellness parameters, or combinations thereof; monitoring and analyzing the wellness parameters in view of both current and prior semantic data to identify potential changes in physiological conditions; and providing alerts indicative of changes in said physiological conditions of at least one image.
Abstract:
A method of processing audio signals recorded during display of image data from a media file on a display device to produce semantic understanding data and associating such data with the original media file, includes: separating a desired audio signal from the aggregate mixture of audio signals; analyzing the separated signal for purposes of gaining semantic understanding; and associating the semantic information obtained from the audio signals recorded during image display with the original media file.
Abstract:
A method for providing normalized physiological monitoring data of an individual with a measure of the quality of the normalization, including providing a reference feature based on a physiological attribute of the individual for which an attribute value can be determined; unobtrusively capturing physiological monitoring data for the individual during a series of capture events and determining the capture conditions present during each capture event; detecting the presence of the reference feature in the series of captured physiological monitoring data and determining associated attribute values for each capture event; normalizing the captured physiological monitoring data from each capture event according to differences in the attribute values associated with each event and previously calculated attribute values; and calculating normalization confidence values for the individual at the series of capture events, based on capture conditions, normalization transforms, or semantic data, wherein the confidence values statistically measure the quality of the normalization.
Abstract:
A method for capturing images of an individual to determine wellness for such individual, including establishing baseline physiological data for the individual, and baseline capture condition data for the individual; detecting and identifying the presence of the individual in the image capture environment; providing semantic data associated with the individual; capturing one or more images of the individual during a capture event and determining the capture conditions present during the capture event; using the event capture conditions, the baseline physiological data for the individual and the baseline capture condition data to determine the acceptability of event captured images; and using the acceptable images and the semantic data in determining the wellness of the individual.
Abstract:
A method for operating a selectively interconnected modular printing system is disclosed. The method includes providing a selectively interconnected modular printing system that is responsive to an operational preference setting and associated configuration information for each module; communicating the associated configuration information for the selectively interconnected modules to a system controller; and using the system controller to automatically determine operational parameters based on the associated configuration information. The method further includes determining a set of operational preferences from the operational parameters; selecting at least one operational preference setting; using the system controller to determine specific operational parameters based on the selected operational preference setting; and storing the specific operational parameters so that the modular printing system is effective for operation.
