Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for contextually disambiguating queries are disclosed. In an aspect, a method includes receiving an image being presented on a display of a computing device and a transcription of an utterance spoken by a user of the computing device, identifying a particular sub-image that is included in the image, and based on performing image recognition on the particular sub-image, determining one or more first labels that indicate a context of the particular sub-image. The method also includes, based on performing text recognition on a portion of the image other than the particular sub-image, determining one or more second labels that indicate the context of the particular sub-image, based on the transcription, the first labels, and the second labels, generating a search query, and providing, for output, the search query.
Abstract:
The system and method for generating a virtual character functions to enable an interface for creating and managing simulated personas that can contextually respond to stimuli. The responses of the virtual character can be set to reflect a particular type of persona. Furthermore, the virtual characters can be driven using the system and method so as to express realistic and responsive representations of a characters thoughts, emotions, and moods. The system and method preferably enable one or more users to provide input that configures and defines a set of operating parameters for a virtual character. The system and method can apply that configuration to drive character actions and behavior within one or more media format.

Abstract:
A method and computer program for receiving (210) recorded speech of plural attendees of a meeting; converting (220) recorded speech to text during the meeting; enabling editing (230) of the text by the attendees during the meeting; identifying (240) key terms from the edited text; forming (250) a dynamic key term visualisation from the identified key terms; and enabling modifying (260) of the key terms by the attendees after the forming of the key term visualisation and correspondingly updating the dynamic key term visualisation.
Abstract:
A system and method for providing an interactive media response menu in an interactive media response (IMR) system is described. The system provides an end user with an IMR menu. The end user has the option to pin particular menu options throughout the IMR menu. During subsequent interactions with the IMR system, the end user can access a menu of his or her pinned menu options. The end user can select one of the pinned menu options and the IMR system will present that menu option to the end user.
Abstract:
An environmental context of a user may be taken into account to enhance the user's communication throughput. An "environmental context" can include spatial surroundings of a user, device, and/or sensor of the device and more broadly to denote the context of the user in a multiplicity of environments such as, for example, the surroundings of a user, a digital environment such as the user or other individuals' interactions with or made near a device, etc. The techniques can include obtaining contextual data to provide context-predicted suggestions of words and/or phrases that a user can select to be output on the user's behalf. In some examples, the techniques can also use contextual data to weight, sort, rank, and/or filter word and/or phrase suggestions.
