The invention relates to a method and a device for controlling the execution of at least one function in a short-range wireless communication module (335) of a mobile apparatus (300) adapted for receiving at least one identification card (310). After transmitting (420) an information request (RA2) to said identification card, the purpose of said information request being to obtain at least one piece of information characteristic of said identification card, an answer is received from said identification card, said answer including at least one piece of information characteristic of said identification card. When the answer is identified and in response to said at least one piece of information characteristic of said identification card, said at least one function is executed. According to a particular embodiment, an authentication request (RA1) is received by said short-range wireless communication module.
