Abstract:
Receiver of television signals (1) received via air, cable, internet or by way of connection to an external device (3), comprising: - memory means (13,3) wherein contents are stored, received through said receiver (1), - data management means (11) configured for organizing and displaying the contents of said memory means (13,3), characterized by the fact that said data management means (11) carry out an authentication procedure that allows for a determined user to be associated to his/her profile (User:165483, User:186521, User:281645), that allows for storing and/or accessing private data of said memory means (13,3), that are associated uniquely to said determined user (User:165483, User:186521, User:281645), and that do not appear to exist when exploring the contents of said memory means (13,3), if beforehand said authentication procedure has not been carried out by said determined user (User:165483, User:186521, User:281645).
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for assembling and extracting command and control data. In embodiments of the present disclosure, the command and control data is segmented and inserted into multiple packet headers. The header packets are identified by flags such as "First portion," "Middle portion," "Last portion," or "Null Byte." When a receiver extracts the command and control data from the headers, it tracks the flags associated with the headers. The command and control data is saved to buffer in association with its associated flag. The receiver uses the flags to determine when all command and control data headers have been received. The command and control data is then reconstructed and used to decrypt audio visual content.
Abstract:
Described herein are techniques for transferring content authorization information between television receivers. Authorization information for content and features associated with a television receiver is securely stored on a portable storage device. The portable storage device may be moved and connected to a different television receiver in order to transfer the authorization information to the different television receiver. The other television receiver accesses information on the portable storage device and allows the user to access the content and features that are authorized on the home television receiver.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a memory card-based conditional access system (CAS) for mobile broadcasts that enables CAS services to be handled in the memory card. To this end, the present invention executes the generic bootstrapping architecture (GBA) between the CAS client and the bootstrapping service function/home subscriber system (BSF/HSS) in the memory card loaded in the CAS client so that the memory card loaded in the CAS client shares a shared key (KS) with the BSF/HSS. In addition, a long-term key message (LTKM) received from the CAS server is encrypted with a subscriber management key (SMK) induced from the KS to obtain a service encryption key (SEK) (or program encryption key (PEK)) to provide a traffic encryption key (TEK), and it is preferable that safe delivery to the descrambler of the TEK thus obtained be effected in the memory card. The present invention executes the decryption of the keys (SMK, SEK/PEK, TEK) and messages, including GBA, required to view the encrypted contents, within the memory card, thereby ensuring safe management of the keys (SMK, SEK/PEK, TEK).
Abstract:
A display device and a method of operating the display device are provided. The display device includes a media interface unit for receiving images through an external memory card, a memory unit for storing the images therein, a network interface unit for receiving related contents from an external server using image taking time information and GPS information contained in the images, and a controller displaying the images together with the contents provided through the network interface unit with reference to the image taking time information and the GPS information.
