Hub (1) for a display unit comprises a main body (2) of molded plastics material with arcuate surfaces (3 to 6) which co-operate with the surfaces on hub clamp (7). Clamp (7) is held against body (2) by screw (8) which passes through central aperture (9) in body (2) and screws into clamp (7). Bar (11) of the strut end portion (or tube end) (12) is held between surfaces (4 and 4') such that it can freely rotate; the bar (11) of strut end (13) is likewise held in surfaces (5).

The invention relates to a system of supporting bars on which items to be presented are hung, directly or indirectly, in goods and services establishments, comprising essentially a support bar (1) which has an insert end (10) at the very front. Said insert end (10) can be inserted into an axial entrance opening in a receptacle (2) or directly into an entrance opening in a support structure and locked in place. The receptacle (2) is fixed in an opening in the support structure. The insert end (10) is provided with a hooked contour and the inserted support bar (1) is locked in place in various ways. According to a first variant, the hooked contour engages from behind in a relief cut into the insert end (10), the support bar (1) having first been lifted at the opposite end of the bar to the insert end (2) and aligned whilst being pushed into the entrance opening. According to a second variant, a spring element (5) located in the receptacle (2) locks into the hooked contour. According to a third variant, an exit opening is provided in the support structure where the upper wall edge engages in the hooked contour after the moving process described in the first variant. The support bar (1) itself can be used for hanging up items or alternatively, one or several support bars (1) can be used to maintain an element for supporting goods. The system of supporting bars creates new ways of presenting and arranging products and services for shop and exhibition layouts.

A connector arrangement for butt joining substantially hollow, tubular structural members is provided comprising a connector (80) which is securely fastened within the end of a first member (59) to be abutted to an extending member (31) and whereby the head of the connector protrudes from the first member and is simultaneously and securely retained within two openings provided within the extending member. In a preferred embodiment the two openings in the extending member extend the full length of the extending member along each side face thereof. In this manner the joint may be effectuated at any location along the length of the extending member. The head configuration (81) of the connector includes a spherical portion and a plate portion (84), which provide for a secure fit within the two openings of the extending member.

The invention relates to a collapsible basket made of metal wire including a bottom wall (1), two side walls (4, 5), a rear wall (3), a front wall (2), and an attachment means for locking the side walls to the front and rear walls in mounted position. Each one of the walls includes a metal wire frame and a grid, the front, rear and side walls being mounted such as to pivot relative to the bottom wall. The attachment means includes added locking parts (15), each one of the locking parts including a first attachment portion (17) with a channel (19) for being threaded onto a frame portion (7a, 7d, 8a, 8d) of a wall and a second attachment portion (18) including elastic arms (21) configured such as to elastically clamp a portion of the wire of the frame of the adjacent wall, the two attachment portions being rigidly interconnected.
