Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Schichtverbundmaterials umfassend mindestens ein metallisches Substrat und mindestens eine Kunststoffschicht. Die Aufgabe, auf einfache und prozesssichere Weise eine an den jeweiligen Einsatzzweck maßgeschneiderte Anpassung von Eigenschaften eines Schichtverbundmaterials zu erreichen wird dadurch gelöst, dass das Verfahren die Schritte umfasst: Bereitstellen des metallischen Substrats und der Kunststoffschicht, Auftragen einer Haftvermittlerschicht entlang einer Oberfläche des metallischen Substrats und/oder der Kunststoffschicht mittels Plasmabeschichtens durch eine Plasmabeschichtungsanlage, wobei zur Erzeugung der Haftvermittlerschicht die Plasmabeschichtungsanlage während des Plasmabeschichtens derart angesteuert wird, dass zumindest bereichsweise ein gezieltes Profil der Haftvermittlerschicht entlang der Oberfläche des metallischen Substrats und/oder der Kunststoffschicht eingestellt wird und Verbinden der Kunststoffschicht mit der die Haftvermittlerschicht aufweisenden Oberfläche des metallischen Substrats und/oder Verbinden des metallischen Substrats mit der die Haftvermittlerschicht aufweisenden Oberfläche der Kunststoffschicht zur Herstellung des Verbundmaterials.

The methods may further include a step of applying a seal material.
