Abstract:
A method is provided for managing an amount of energy utilized by a carbon dioxide capture system. The method includes providing a fuel and a feed stream to a combustion system. The feed stream includes oxygen and a portion of a flue gas stream generated upon combustion of the fuel. The method also includes subjecting the flue gas stream to a carbon dioxide capture system to remove carbon dioxide therefrom, measuring a concentration of oxygen present in the feed stream, and selectively adjusting an amount of the flue gas stream included in the feed stream based on the measured concentration of oxygen in the feed stream. The selective adjustment is performed such that the feed stream maintains an oxygen concentration in a range of between about 10% to 90% by volume and the carbon dioxide capture system operates at an energy load between 1.4 GJ/ton of carbon dioxide and 3.0 GJ/ton of carbon dioxide.

Method of controlling a burner (BR) provided with combustion chamber (CC), combustive air supply means (F) driven by a motor, at least one fuel supply duct (DTI) interceptable by a respective electric valve (EV) means, and at least one exhaust duct (DT3) for the combustion gases, comprising the following steps: - predetermining a minimum and a maximum value for the current absorbed by said motor - establishing, for a plurality of flow rate values of fuel supplied to the burner, the minimum supply voltage of said motor for ensuring a combustive air flow rate suitable for ensuring correct combustion; - supplying fuel to said burner at a predetermined flow rate; - detecting the supply voltage of said supply means and the current absorbed by said motor - checking that, for the supplied fuel flow rate, the supply voltage is greater than a predetermined threshold value and that the value of the current absorbed does not diverge from a predetermined threshold value, and - generating an output control signal when at least one of the values of voltage and current does not comply with the respective thresholds.

Изобретение относится к энергетике и может быть использовано при разработке и эксплуатации энерготехнологических котлов. Суть изобретения в том, что осуществляют подачу топлива и воздуха и сжигание в топочной камере и камере дожигания котла, а при отводе продуктов сгорания из камеры дожигания делят их на два потока, первый поток направляют для охлаждения в теплообменник, а второй - в байпас, куда направляют дополнительный поток воздуха. Кроме того, предложена система управления работой котла, в которой блок управления соединен на входе с датчиком температуры, газоанализатором, регулятором подачи воздуха и топлива на горение, а на выходе - с регулятором подачи воздуха на смешение с продуктами сгорания, проходящими по байпасу. Такое выполнение котла уменьшит температурные нагрузки на байпас и стабилизирует температуру и состав продуктов сгорания на выходе из котла.

Procédé de réglage en temps réel et en continu d'un ensemble d'enceintes thermiques de combustion (2, 2i) ayant des caractéristiques voisines alimentées par les mêmes réseaux de comburant (8) et de combustible (9), selon lequel une des enceintes (2i) est utilisée comme enceinte de référence, des paramètres de combustion sont mesurés (7) dans les fumées à la sortie de l'enceinte de référence, et les paramètres de régulation de l'ensemble des enceintes (2) sont ajustés en fonction des paramètres de combustion mesurés à la sortie de l'enceinte de référence (2i), en particulier en fonction de la proportion entre le comburant et le combustible et/ou la composition du comburant et/ou du combustible.

Bei einem Verfahren und einer Vorrichtung zum Überwachen der Verbrennung von Brennmaterial in einem Kraftwerk wird eine reale Konzentrationsverteilung eines Stoffes in einem zugehörigen Verbrennungsraum gemessen, die reale Konzentrationsverteilung mit Berücksichtigung der Verbrennungsstöchiometrie ausgewertet und auf die Zusammensetzung des Brennmaterials auf der Grundlage der vorgenommenen Auswertung rückgeschlossen.

Systems and methods for effectively combusting municipal waste are disclosed. Aspects of the present invention provide improved techniques for increasing efficiency of combusting municipal waste as well as decreasing emission of harmful gases. In one aspect of the present invention a system is provided which includes a post combustor for combusting gasified waste. In another aspect of the present invention, a method for using the post combustor to gasify the waste is provided.

The invention relates to a method for burning solid organic fuels in a furnace (1) comprising a first chamber (2) used for the pre-combustion of the fuel (6) and having a primary, regulatable air supply (4), and a second chamber which is connected to the first chamber (3) for the post-combustion of post-combustible reaction products created during the pre-combustion and comprises a secondary regulatable air supply (5) and a detection device (12) at least for detecting the oxygen content in a representative content of post-combustible reaction products, and for detecting a temperature. The primary air supply is regulated by means of a first correcting variable formed by at least one parameter, and the secondary air supply is regulated by means of a second correcting variable formed by at least two parameters.
