    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices related to the management of lower layer resources for Signaling Radio Bearers (SRBs) in Dual Connectivity (DC) or Multi-Connectivity (MC) scenarios are described. In one exemplary aspect, a method for wireless communication includes operating a first wireless communication node in a wireless network. The wireless network comprises a master cell group and at least a secondary cell group, and the master cell group is configured with one or more split signaling radio bearers. The method also includes transmitting, from the first wireless communication node to a second wireless communication node in the wireless network, a message indicating a release of the one or more split signaling radio bearers of the master cell group, or a release of the secondary cell group.

    Abstract: A system and method for enabling secure device-to-device (D2D) communication between a plurality of user devices. The method includes providing public and private keys for each of the user devices, the private key arranged to decrypt data encrypted by the corresponding public key. A sender user device creates a digital signature using its private key. The sender double-encrypts a transmission using both the public keys of a recipient user device and a first relay user device. The transmission is transmitted from the sender to the recipient through a plurality of relay user devices. Each relay user device receives the transmission, decrypts a first layer of encryption with its private key, encrypts the transmission with the public key of a subsequent user device; and forwards the data transmission to the subsequent user device. The recipient authenticates the digital signature of the sender using the public key of the sender.

    Abstract: According to certain embodiments, a method by a user equipment (UE) for securing network steering information includes transmitting a registration request to a Visited Public Land Mobile Network (VPLMN). Upon successful authentication by an authentication server function (AUSF), a home network root key is generated. A protected message comprising Network Steering Information is received from a first network node. The protected message is protected using a configuration key (Kconf) and a first Message Authentication Code (MAC-1). The configuration key (Kconf) is determined from the home network root key, and the UE verifies the MAC-1. Based on the Kconf and the MAC-1, it is verified that the VPLMN did not alter Network Steering Information. An acknowledgement message, which is protected with a second Message Authentication Code (MAC-2), is transmitted to a Home Public Land Mobile Network (HPLMN).
