    Abstract: The disclosed system, method and computer-readable medium provide for a first wireless network, a second wireless network, a premises device and a mobile device. The first and second wireless networks are configured to operate according to respective first and second wireless networking standards, where the first and second wireless networking standards are incompatible. The mobile device is configured to communicate according to the first wireless network standard. The premises gateway device includes a transmitter for the second wireless networking standard. The premises gateway is configured to communicate according to the second wireless network standard; receive commands from the portable device, the commands formatted according to the first wireless networking standard; and output corresponding commands according to the second wireless networking standard device in a format compatible with the second wireless networking standard to allow the portable device to control an Internet of Things (IoT) device operating on the second wireless network standard.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate delivery of multiple media renditions of multimedia content to a subscriber. The methods, systems, and apparatuses described herein enable the identification and retrieval of one or more preferred or requested media renditions of multimedia content. A subscriber device can maintain a list of media attributes preferred by the subscriber device and/or one or more users with access to the subscriber device, wherein the list includes preferred media attributes in order from the most requested/received attribute to the least requested/received attribute. When the subscriber device receives a request for multimedia content, the subscriber device can identify one or more media attributes preferred by the subscriber, and media renditions of the multimedia content having an identified preferred media attribute can be downloaded to the subscriber device.

    Abstract: A controller, located at a network resource or as part of an access point device, can configure an access point device to selectively configure the backhaul (BH) and fronthaul (FH) connections of a network based on one or more network parameters associated with the network devices within the network. The controller can associate a 6 GHz band or high frequency band to the BH connection with legacy network devices associated to a lower frequency band for a FH connection while other network devices are associated to a higher frequency band, such as a 5 GHz band, for a FH connection based on the one or more network parameters. The controller can dynamically switch the other network devices to a 6 GHz or higher frequency band after an update of the one or more network parameters indicate network performance, for example, will be improved by the switch.

    Abstract: An electronic apparatus, method, and computer-readable medium implement a dynamic channel selection function at an access point device so as to establish a backhaul connection between the access point device and an extender access point device. Once initiated either by the access point device or an application, the dynamic channel selection function iterates or loops through channels based on one or more factors to select a channel for establishment of the backhaul connection. The dynamic channel selection function provides ease of installation of configuration of devices on a network without requiring relocation of the device to establish the backhaul connection.

    Abstract: A gateway, for use with a first and a second access point device (APD), scans channels within a spectrum of channels. The gateway includes a delegating component, a communication component, and a load balancing component. The delegating component is operable to instruct each APD to monitor for presence of a signal on any one of a respective first or second set of channels within the spectrum. The communication component is operable to receive from the first APD a channel-in-use signal associated with an in-use channel of the first set of channels; transmit a notification signal to the second APD based on the channel-in-use signal; transmit the instruction to the first APD and the second APD; and receive a communication signal from either APD as a result of the transmission. The load balancing component is operable to determine a communication volume on each of the first set of channels, and to generate an instruction to instruct the first and second APDs to not use the in-use channel.
