Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to mobility techniques that allow for mobility of a user equipment (UE) between a set of cells. A method that may be performed by a UE includes receiving signaling configuring the UE with a set of cells that support physical (PHY) layer or medium access control (MAC) layer mobility signaling and with a measurement configuration for the set of cells, reporting, to a network entity, measurements for at least some of the set of cells in accordance with the measurement configuration, and receiving, from the network entity, PHY layer or MAC layer mobility signaling to move the UE to one of the cells in the set, wherein the mobility signaling is based, at least in part, on the reported measurements.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for using downlink control information (DCI) to avoid hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process identifier (ID) conflicts in scenarios where multiple semi persistently scheduled (SPS) configurations share the same pool of HARQ process IDs are provided. One example technique involves a user equipment (UE) receiving an indication of a plurality of SPS configurations, each SPS configuration allocating the UE with a set of SPS occasions for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions. Information for resolving a conflict between a first HARQ process ID associated with a first SPS occasion of a first of the plurality of SPS configurations and a second HARQ process ID associated with a second SPS occasion of a second of the plurality of SPS configurations is received. The first SPS occasion occurs prior to the second SPS occasion. The conflict is resolved based on the information.

Abstract: A methods and apparatuses are provided for facilitating wireless communication at a UE. The apparatus receives (604) information scheduling communication with a base station on a first set of resources in a first frequency range and on a second set of resources in a second frequency range. The apparatus communicates (610) with the base station on the first set of resources in the first frequency range using a first set of parameters applicable to the first frequency range. Further, the apparatus communicates (614) with the base station on the second set of resources in the second frequency range using a second set of parameters applicable to the second frequency range. A corresponding base station apparatus as well as respective corresponding methods are also provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which one or more semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations may provide periodic resources for communications between a base station and a user equipment (UE). One or more of the SPS configurations may also provide alternative resources that may be used for the communications in the event that a communication on the periodic or dynamically scheduled resources is cancelled. In the event that the base station transmits a cancellation indicator that cancels one or more of the communications, it may be determined whether to use the alternative resources for the associated communication. The determination to sue the alternative resources may be based on a time duration of the cancellation, a frequency portion of the cancelled resources, or combinations thereof.

Abstract: A UE, as a part of a RACH communication procedure, may transmit a first sequence within a first set of resources having a first SCS and a second sequence within a second set of resources having a second SCS greater than the first SCS. The second sequence is transmitted with a cyclic prefix greater than inverse of the first SCS divided by a sequence length of the first sequence. The first sequence is a first PRACH preamble. The second sequence may be a second PRACH preamble, an SRS sequence, or DMRS. The UE may repeat the transmission of the first sequence for a first number of times and repeat the transmission of the second sequence for a second number of times independent of the first number.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, user equipment (UE) may account for propagation delay when initiating a random access (RACH) procedure. For example, the UE may determine transmission timing for a RACH preamble based on an estimated propagation delay, such that the RACH preamble is received at a base station approximately at the beginning of a slot. To support reliable communication of the RACH preamble, the UE may implement a timing offset. In some examples, the base station may configure the UE with the timing offset using system information. Alternatively, the UE may be pre-configured with the timing offset. By determining the transmission timing for the RACH preamble further based on the timing offset, the UE may ensure that the RACH preamble is received at the base station after a slot boundary (e.g., avoiding causing interference to communications in a previous slot).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may monitor, within an acknowledgment window, for reception from a base station of a set of semi-persistent scheduling messages. The UE may transmit feedback for the plurality of semi-persistent scheduling messages, where the feedback indicates a negative acknowledgment for one or more of the plurality of semi-persistent scheduling messages. The UE may receive composite downlink control information from the base station scheduling retransmission of the one or more semi-persistent scheduling messages, and the UE may monitor for the retransmission of the one or more semi-persistent scheduling messages based on the composite downlink control information.
