Abstract:
An apparatus for processing trading orders comprises a memory and a processor. The memory stores a first order and a second order. The first order is associated with a product and comprises a displayed quantity and a reserved quantity. The second order is associated with the product and comprises a displayed quantity and a reserved quantity. The processor is coupled to the memory and receives a counterorder associated with the product. The processor fills the displayed quantity of the first order with a corresponding portion of the counterorder, and fills the displayed quantity of the second order with a corresponding portion of the counterorder. The processor allocates a first additional portion of the counterorder to the first order. The first additional portion is based at least in part on a ratio of the displayed quantity of the first order to a sum of the displayed quantity of the first order and the displayed quantity of the second order.
Abstract:
A gaming system is provided. The gaming system allows users to access applications via gaming communication devices coupled to a communication network. At least a portion of the network may be wireless. The gaming applications include gambling, financial, entertainment service, and other types of transactions. The system may include a user location determination feature to prevent users from conducting transactions from unauthorized areas. The gaming system may incorporate a user profile feature according to which certain information regarding users of the system may be maintained. Such information can include, without limitation, information relating to preferences, finances, activities participated in by the users, and trends and habits of the users.

Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a system for electronic trading is provided. A plurality of controller signal relationships are stored, each controller signal relationship associating one or more game controller signals with a trading system command associated with the electronic trading of financial instruments via a trading platform. One or more game controller signals generated by a game controller are received and at least one of the plurality of controller signal relationships is modified based at least on the one or more received game controller signals.
Abstract:
An apparatus for routing trading orders comprises a memory and a processor. The memory stores first trading information associated with a first buy order placed with a first market center. The first buy order is associated with a product and the first trading information comprises a disclosed quantity of the product and a reserved quantity of the product. The memory also stores second trading information associated with a second buy order placed with a second market center. The second buy order is associated with the product and the second trading information comprises a disclosed quantity of the product and a reserved quantity of the product. The processor is coupled to the memory and receives a sell order associated with a quantity of the product. The processor further cancels at least a portion of the second buy order placed with the second market center for placement with the first market center. The canceled portion of the second buy order is determined based at least in part upon the second trading information. The processor further routes at least one additional sell order to the first market center having a quantity that is based upon at least one of the first trading information and the canceled portion of the second buy order.
Abstract:
A system for receiving radio- frequency signals includes a first input path, a second input path, a selector, and a mixer. The first input path is capable of transmitting to the mixer a first input signal propagating in a first portion of the radio- frequency spectrum, while the second input path is capable of transmitting to the mixer a second input signal propagating in a second portion of the radio- frequency spectrum. The selector is capable of selectively coupling one of the first input path and the second input path to the mixer. Additionally, the mixer is capable of receiving an input signal and downconverting at least a portion of the input signal that is propagating within a selected frequency range. The mixer is also capable of outputting the downconverted portion of the input signal.
Abstract:
A trading system comprises a trading platform and a plurality of interfaces. The trading platform executes sale orders and purchase orders. The interfaces transmit sale orders and purchase orders to the trading platform. At least one interface also determines an available offered quantity of a first instrument that represents an amount of the first instrument currently available to be purchased. The interface also determines an unavailable offered quantity of the first instrument that represents an amount of the first instrument specified by a sale order associated with a first transaction. The interface also determines a bid quantity specified by a purchase order associated with the first transaction and calculates a temporarily unavailable offered quantity of the first instrument based on a difference between the unavailable offered quantity of the first instrument and the bid quantity. Additionally, the interface calculates a quantity of a second instrument based on a sum of the available offered quantity of the first instrument and at least a portion of the temporarily unavailable offered quantity.
Abstract:
A system for trading includes a memory operable to store information associated with a futures contract between a buyer and a seller. The futures contract is associated with at least one entertainment event and comprises a purchase price and a settlement date. A processor coupled to the memory settles the futures contract based at least in part upon the purchase price and a value associated with the entertainment event at the settlement date. The entertainment event is associated with a security and the transaction of the futures contract is performed in conjunction with the issuance of the security to the seller.
Abstract:
A system for betting on fractional times comprises a memory coupled to a processor. The memory stores a first betting option comprising a bet that a particular participant in a race will finish a predetermined length of the race in a first range of fractional times. The memory further stores a second betting option comprising a bet that the particular participant in the race will finish the predetermined length of the race in a second range of fractional times. The processor receives a plurality of bets on at least one of the first betting option and the second betting option and determines an actual time for the particular participant to finish the predetermined length of the race. The processor then determines which of the plurality of bets are winning bets based at least in part upon the determination of the actual time and the corresponding betting options.
Abstract:
A circuit includes a first filter comprising a first inductor coupled to a first variable capacitor, wherein the first filter is associated with a first resonant frequency. The circuit further comprises an amplifier coupled to the first filter and a second filter coupled to the amplifier. The second filter comprises a second inductor coupled to a second variable capacitor, wherein the second filter is associated with a second resonant frequency that is substantially the same as the first resonant frequency. At least a portion of the first filter and at least a portion of the second filter are formed on an integrated circuit.
