Abstract:
A system and method for making an improved mandibular repositioning device includes a pair of tooth fixation element premolds, a pressure molding cap and at least one adjustment mechanism. The premolds include resin and reinforcing material within a flexible envelope. The pressure molding cap includes a rigid shell and an inflatable bladder. The tooth fixation element premold is placed on the patient's teeth. The pressure molding cap is placed over the premold and the bladder is filled. The pressure of the bladder forms the premold to the patient's teeth. The pressure is released once the resin is set and the formed tooth fixation element may be removed from the patient's teeth. After a tooth fixation element is created for both the top and bottom sets of teeth an attachment mechanism is coupled to both tooth fixation elements to adjustably couple the tooth fixation elements to each other.

An alginate impression method for dental treatment is provided. The method comprises steps of : separating a first portion and a second portion in a squeezable pouch with a separator; providing alginate in the first portion; providing water in the second portion; breaking the separator by squeezing the squeezable pouch; kneading the squeezable pouch so as to mix the alginate and the water inside; and squeezing out the mixed alginate and water onto a mold so as to make an impression. The squeezable pouch comprises a container portion, an opening, and a lid. The lid is configured to fit air-tightly with the opening of the squeezable pouch. The opening of the squeezable pouch comprises male threads inside the opening, and the lid of the pouch comprises female threads fitting with the male threads in the opening.

본 발명은 두 개의 튜브가 일체로 결합된 이중카트리지에 담겨진 각기 다른 두 종류의 의료용 점성유체를 동시에 압출하는 이액형 의료용 점성유체 압출건에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 권총형으로 형성되는 압출건의 누름버튼을 누름에 따라 구동모터의 구동력이 감속기에 의해 감속되 어 2개의 수평이동바가 수평으로 이동하면서 이중카트리지에 담겨진 두 종류의 의료용 점성유체(이하, 점성유체라고 약칭함)를 동시에 압출 시킬 수 있도록 하기 위한 것이다. 본 발명은 전방에 누름버튼(4)이 설치된 손잡이부(3)의 상부에 전방이 개방된 케이스본체(2)가 설치되며, 케이스본체(2)의 개구된 전방에는 각기 다른 점성유체가 채워진 한 쌍의 튜브(42)가 일체로 결합된 이중카트리지(40)의 후방 플랜지 부(41)가 끼워져 걸리는 카트리지끼움부(6)가 형성되고, 케이스본체(2)의 내부에는 누름버튼(4)을 누름에 따라 전방으로 수평 이동하는 한 쌍의 수평이동바(15)가 설치되며, 상기 수평이동바(15)의 외주연 전둘레에 나사산(34)이 형성되며, 이 수평이동바(15)에는 길이방향으로 전길이에 걸쳐 키홈(16)이 형성되고, 상기 한 쌍의 수평이동바(15)는 하우징(20)의 후방벽(21)에 형성된 통공(22)을 통하여 후방으로 돌출되며, 후방으로 돌출된 양측 수평이동바(15)의 후단부는 브래킷(23)에 지지되게 설치되고, 후방벽(21)과 브래킷(23)의 사이에 설치된 가이드핀(25)에는 양측 수평이동바(15)를 후방으로 후퇴시키는 스프링(26)이 설치되고, 상기 케이스본체(2)의 내부에는 감속기(11)를 구비한 구동모터(10)가 설치되고, 감속기(11)의 회전축에는 구동기어(12)가 설치되고, 상기 케이스본체(2)의 내측에는 한 쌍의 수평이동바(15)가 관통되고 구동기어(12)가 전면으로 노출되는 하우징(20)이 설치되며, 상기 하우징(20)의 양측에는 구동기어(12)와 맞물리는 기어회전체(36)를 설치하되, 이 기어회전체(36)는 수평이동바(15)의 외측으로 삽입되어 직선 이동하게 하는 관형본체(35)의 내면에 키홈(16)에 안내되는 돌출키(14)가 내향 형성되고, 관형본체(35)의 외주에는 구동기어(12)와 맞물리는 종동기어(13)로 이루어진 이액형 의료용 점성유체 압출건에 있어서, 상기 하우징(20) 내측의 한 쌍의 수평이동바(15) 양측에는 내면에 수평이동바(15)의 나사산(34)에 대응하는 나사홈(17a)이 형성되고 외면에 경사부(18)를 형성한 한 쌍의 클러치(17)가 내측에 스프링(19)을 개재시킨 상태로 탄력적을 설치되며, 상기 하우징(20)의 개구된 전방 상부에는 한 쌍의 클러치(17)을 오므리는 2개의 클러치오므림부(8)를 형성한 커버(7)가 힌지식을 개폐되게 설치되는 것을 특징으로 한다.

L'invention concerne un dispositif pour injecter dans un logement canalaire un matériau de remplissage en phase fluide, ledit dispositif comportant un embout d'adaptation, un auto-mélangeur relié audit embout d'adaptation, un embout d'injection intra-oral disposé à l'extrémité supérieure dudit auto-mélangeur, se caractérisant par le fait que ledit embout d'injection est un tube dont l'extrémité distale a un diamètre externe inférieur ou égal à 1.5 mm sur une longueur supérieure ou égale à 8 mm, par le fait que ledit embout d'injection est réalisé dans un matériau à mémoire de forme de manière à pouvoir le plier selon une orientation voulue, par le fait que ledit embout d'injection est moulé à l'extrémité supérieure dudit auto-mélangeur, et par le fait que ledit embout d'injection comporte sur sa surface extérieure : • soit des nervures circulaires définissant une gorge, l'extrémité supérieure de l'auto-mélangeur étant moulée dans cette gorge de manière à ce que ledit embout d'injection soit bloqué en position dans ladite extrémité supérieure tout en gardant un degré de liberté en rotation autour de son axe de symétrie, • soit une ou plusieurs nervures circulaires parallèles entre elles, l'extrémité supérieure de l'auto-mélangeur étant moulée sur cette nervure circulaire de manière à ce que ledit embout d'injection soit bloqué en position dans ladite extrémité supérieure tout en gardant un degré de liberté en rotation autour de son axe de symétrie.

Ein Injektionskorrekturabformlöffel (18) zur Injektionskorrekturabformung eines Kiefers, bei gleichzeitiger Abformung des Gegenkiefers. Die Injektionskorrekturabformung erfolgt durch Einzel-, oder Abzweig-, oder Reihenbefüllungstechnik, oder deren Kombinationen, durch Injektion der Korrekturabformmasse (25) in das Präparationsgebiet über angelegte Injektionskanäle. Es werden Speichel-, Blut- und Lufteinschlüsse im Abdruck sicher verhindert und die Qualität der Korrekturabformung bei vereinfachter Handhabung optimiert.

A curable dental impression compound containing a ferromagnetic compound, preferably an iron powder additive as well as a method for guiding the compound into the sub-gingival areas of the tooth by the use of a magnetic field. The term "ferromagnetic" as used herein is used to describe a substance that is capable of being attracted by a magnetic field, in particular a substance that exhibits a high degree of magnetic permeability.
Abstract:
A package for storing and dispensing a unit dose of a multi-component dental composition is provided. The package includes two separate cups for storing the components used to make the composition. A film covering is sealed over the openings of the cups so as to form an outwardly extending integral finger loop that can be pulled to open the package. The package is opened, the cups are mated together, and the components are combined to form a mixed dental composition.

The present invention is directed to a piston for extruding a substance from a container. The piston comprises a pressure compensation surface to compensate for a difference between the pressure inside of the container and ambient pressure. The present invention is further related to a system comprising such a piston and container. The invention provides for storing of preferably flowable substances, such as dental impression materials. In particular, the present invention helps to prevent air from penetration into the container during storage of the substances. The invention also encompasses a kit comprising such a piston.

The present invention is preferably directed to a dispenser of the type sold by 3M ESPE under the trade name Pentamix and as also described above. Such a dispenser preferably comprises at least a first and a second compartment for a first reservoir and a second reservoir, respectively, the first and the second reservoirs containing a first and a second component for the dental material, respectively. It further preferably comprises a first and a second plunger driven by a first drive for advancing the first and the second components from the first and the second reservoirs, respectively. Moreover, a dynamic mixer driven by a second drive for automatically mixing the first and second components to form the dental material from the first and second components is provided. Such a dispenser further preferably has a dispensing portion or mixing tip for dispensing the mixed dental material. The present invention is more particularly directed to a dispenser or method adapted for advancing and mixing at least one dental material, comprising at least one drive which is operated on a predetermined, non-uniform drive speed profile. Preferably an advancing speed profile is provided for advancing the components and/or a mixing speed profile is provided for mixing the components, and either profile may be a "drive speed profile" as that term is used herein. More preferably both profiles are provided.
