Described herein are luminescent ceramics comprising a metal magnesium silicate that may be doped with metals such as europium. Methods of preparing and using these luminescent ceramics are also described.

It can be seen from behind, has a large surface area for band visibility an interchangeable lenses. It chemical composition allow it to be rapidly be recharged by lights, and exhibit bright visible light from a distance, but also allows for structural integrity of the material when used by swimmers.
