The invention pertains to a bilateral hinge arrangement enabling doors, windows or flaps on furniture or the like, especially on household refrigerators, to be opened alternatively from either side. The invention is characterized in that when the door (1) is closed the hinge elements (7; 19) fastened to the sides of the door form a non-positive fit with the corresponding hinge sockets (6; 13) fastened on both sides of the door opening (3); that the hinge elements (7; 19) are designed as circular disk segments, the center line of which aligns with the center line of the hinge rod (2, 2') when the door (1) is closed and also with the hinge socket (6; 13) and the rod retainer (5) when the door (1) is closed; that the contour of the hinge elements (7; 19) partially corresponds to the inner contour of the hinge sockets (6; 13); that the hinge elements (7; 19) can be inserted radially into the hinge sockets (6; 13) and turned to form an interlocking closure with them, and that when the door (1) is open the hinge sockets (6; 13) on one side of the door maintain a detent position of positive rotatable engagement with their corresponding hinge elements (7: 19), while the hinge elements (7; 19) on the other side of the door are disengaged.

Hinged assemblies, and children' s products including at least one hinged assembly, include a base member and a hinged member operatively and pivotally coupled to the base member to define a hinge. The hinge is configured to release if an obstruction is positioned between the hinged member and the base member while the hinged member is being closed and if a closing torque is greater than or equal to a release torque. The hinge also may be configured to not release when an opening torque is applied when the hinged member is in its open position even when the opening torque is greater than the release torque.

The invention relates to a door hinge system which includes an integral exposed vertically oriented pin as a portion of a doorframe bracket, and a central latch bracket as engaged to a door. The pivotal manipulation of the door engages the latch of the central latch bracket to the pin, to secure the door to the doorframe. The central latch bracket includes a channel for receipt of the pin which is securely and releasably retained in the channel by the leading cam edge of the latch and safety slide. Disengagement of the latch from the pin enables a door to be easily separated from doorframe for re-hanging at a future time.

The invention concerns a device for articulating a stopper or lid to a frame in particular of a man hole. The invention is characterized in that the male articulating member (4) may optionally be mounted either removably in its housing (5) of the frame (1) to enable the stopper (2) to be extracted from the frame (1) in its upright position or secured in its housing (5) such that the stopper (2) is not detachable from the frame (1). The invention is applicable in the field of road system equipment.

Ein Band-Festteil (10) hat eine Anschlag-Klemmplatte (12), in deren Unterkörper (14) eine Lagerung (16) für eine am Türelement (E) festsetzbare Klemmscheibe (18) zweidimensional verstellbar ist. Ein begrenzt verschiebliches Band-Gehäuseteil (20) ist mit einem Buchsenunterteil (22) festlegbar. Zur Aufnahme von Vorsprüngen (35) einer zweiten Klemmscheibe (38), die in einer Bohrung (B) des Türflügels (F) festsetzbar ist, hat ein Band-Flügelteil (30) eine Aussparung in einem Plattenkörper (32) mit einem Buchsenoberteil (42). Das Band-Flügelteil (30) ist begrenzt höhenverschieblich auf dem Band-Festteil (10) gleitgelagert, indem das Buchsenunterteil (22) und das Buchsenoberteil (42) fluchtend ineinandergreifen. Die Anschlag-Klemmplatte (12) und das Gehäuseteil (20) sind lösbar schwalbenschwanzgeführt. Im montierten Zustand liegt an einer Hochkante (H) des Türelements (E) eine Leiste. Abkantung (15) o.dgl. an. Mit einem Justier-Exzenter (19) in einer Aussparung (17) des Unterkörpers (14) ist dieser in wählbarer Position festleg- und verspannbar. Das Band-Flügelteil (30) ist gegenüber dem Festteil (10) in bevorzugten Schwenklagen verrastbar.

In one non-limiting embodiment of the invention a window is pivotally mounted to the body of an automobile by a quick release hinge part. A pair of injectors (92) are pivotally mounted to the body of the automobile and a pair of receivers (94) are mounted a major surface of the window. Each of the injectors has a pair of flexible fingers (104, 106) having outwardly extending tabs(108), and each of the receivers (94) has a passageway (113) having a tab-engaging portion (116,119). The tabs (108) of an injector (92) are inserted into the passageway (113) of a receiver (94) into engagement with the tab-engaging portion (116, 119) to detachably secure the receiver (94) and the injector (92) together to pivotally mount the window to the automobile body. Moving the tabs out of engagement with the tab-engaging portion, and separating the injector and the receiver separates the receiver and the injector and separates the window from the automotive body.
