Abstract:
A radio frequency (RF) connector block assembly having a plurality of connector pin assemblies mounted within a multi-connector block is disclosed. Each connector pin assembly has a dielectric and a contact pin positioned in a housing. Multiple housings may be independently removably mounted in the multi-connector block with independently movable contact pins. A first end of each contact pin is adapted to provide electrical continuity with an external component, for example, a connector, and a second end of each contact pin terminates distally in a connection feature, which may be connected to an external structure, for example, a printed circuit board (PCB). Each contact pin moves axially in response to movement of the connection feature by engagement with the PCB.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Configurable guide hardware (110) is provided for aligning two associated connectors (102, 106) that are mounted on different circuit cards (104, 108). The guide hardware includes a guide receptacle (122) that is mounted to one of the circuit cards. The guide receptacle includes a housing (132) that defines a channel (126) and a keyway ring (138) that is held in the channel. The guide receptacle is configured to receive a pin (128) of a guide plug (124) in the channel through a central opening (140) of the keyway ring. The keyway ring includes a receptacle keying feature (142) along an inner perimeter (144). The keyway ring is selectively positionable to locate the receptacle keying feature in multiple pre-defined angular orientations relative to the housing. The pin of the guide plug may also be selectively positionable in multiple pre-defined angular orientations.
Abstract:
A card edge connector (10) for mating with a printed circuit board (PCB) (34) having a card edge (32) comprises a housing (16) having a card slot (30) configured to receive the card edge of the PCB therein. The card slot has opposing first and second sides (52, 54). Signal contacts (38a) are held by the housing. The signal contacts comprise signal mating segments (40a) arranged in opposing first and second rows (56, 58) that extend along the opposing first and second sides, respectively, of the card slot. The signal mating segments are arranged in differential signal pairs (38 A) each including two adjacent signal mating segments in a same row of the first and second rows. A ground contact (38) is held by the housing. The ground contact comprises a base (92) and first and second ground mating segments (40b) that extend outwardly from the base. The first and second ground mating segments are arranged along the first and second sides, respectively, of the card slot such that the first and second ground mating segments are configured to engage the card edge therebetween. The first and second ground mating segments comprise springs that resiliently deflect when engaged by the card edge.
