Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for wireless power transmission. A wireless power transmission apparatus may transmit multiple wireless power signals to a wireless power reception apparatus configured to combine the power from the multiple wireless power signals. The wireless power reception apparatus may provide a combined wireless power signal to a load, such as a battery charger or electronic device. In some implementations, each set of primary coil and secondary coil may utilize low power wireless power signals (such as 15 Watts or less) in accordance with a wireless charging standard. By combining power from multiple low power wireless power signals, the wireless power reception apparatus may support higher power requirements of an electronic device. Multiple communication channels may be established between the wireless power transmission apparatus and the wireless power reception apparatus.

Abstract: Disclosed is a series self-resonant coil structure for wireless power transfer that includes a top coil element that is configured in a spiral and planar arrangement and a bottom coil element that is configured in a spiral and planar arrangement that is substantially similar to the arrangement corresponding to the top coil element, wherein the top coil element and the bottom coil element are positioned in a stacked arrangement in relation to each other. The coil structure further includes a dielectric layer element that is planarly positioned in between the top coil element and the bottom coil element, wherein the top coil element, the bottom coil element, and the dielectric layer element are aligned to produce series-resonance in the coil structure.

Abstract: A wearable audio output device is in communication with a first device and with a second device that is different from the first device. While outputting first audio from the first device, the wearable audio output device receives a first input corresponding to a request to output second audio from the second device; and, in response to receiving the first input: in accordance with a determination that the second audio from the second device satisfies audio priority criteria with respect to the first audio from the first device, the wearable audio output device: ceases to output the first audio from the first device; outputs the second audio from the second device; and causes the first device to display a first alert indicating that the first audio from the first device is not being output by the wearable audio output device.

Abstract: Die Erfindung stellt in anschaulichen Ausführungsformen eine Resonatorschaltung (500) für ein kontaktloses Energieübertragungssystem zum Laden von Elektrofahrzeugen und ein kontaktloses Energieübertragungssystem zum Laden von Elektrofahrzeugen bereit. In Ausführungsformen weist die Resonatorschaltung (500) einen ersten Anschluss (A4) und einen zweiten Anschluss (A3), eine Mehrzahl von Wicklungen, eine Mehrzahl von Kondensatoren, ein erstes Schaltelement (540) und ein zweites Schaltelement (550) auf. Die Resonatorschaltung (500) ist über den ersten Anschluss (A4) und den zweiten Anschluss (A3) mit einer Versorgungsschaltung oder einem Gleichrichter verbindbar. Dabei ist die Mehrzahl von Wicklungen in eine erste Gruppe (522) von Wicklungen und eine zweite Gruppe (532) von Wicklungen unterteilt, wobei einer jeden Gruppe (522, 532) von Wicklungen jeweils mindestens ein Kondensator (C3, C4, C5) aus der Mehrzahl von Kondensatoren zugeordnet ist, der zu der zugeordneten Gruppe (522, 532) von Wicklungen in Reihe geschaltet ist. Weiterhin ist zwischen der ersten Gruppe von Wicklungen (522) und der zweiten Gruppe (532) von Wicklungen ein Verbindungsknoten (560) angeordnet, der über das erste Schaltelement (540) mit dem ersten Anschluss (A4) verbunden ist, und der Verbindungsknoten (560) über die erste Gruppe (522) von Wicklungen mit dem zweiten Anschluss (A3) verbunden ist, wobei das zweite Schaltelement (550) zwischen der zweiten Gruppe (532) von Wicklungen und dem ersten Anschluss (A4) angeordnet ist. Abstract: An apparatus and method for inductive wireless power transfer. The apparatus comprises an array of resonators. At least adjacent resonators in the array are mutually electromagnetically coupled. For each resonator in the array, a resonance frequency of the resonator is configured in dependence on the number of neighbouring resonators that are coupled to the resonator and/or the strength of coupling with each neighbouring resonator using the formula f 0 = fd * V(1 - G * k1) where fo is the resonance frequency of the resonator, G is the number of nearest neighbours of the resonator, k 1 is the coupling coefficient which is defined as the ratio of mutual inductance between the neighbouring resonator to the self-inductance of the resonator, and fd is a design frequency.

Abstract: The technology provides for a wearable device including a body and an accessory adapted to be attached to the body. The body includes a first coil configured to inductively transmit power. The body may further include first power management circuitry configured to control the first coil to transmit power according to a wireless charging standard, and to modulate the power transmitted through the first coil to transmit data according to a wireless communication standard. The accessory may include a second coil configured to inductively receive power. The accessory may further include second power management circuitry configured to control the second coil to receive the power transmitted through the first coil according to the wireless charging standard, and to control the second coil to receive the data transmitted through the first coil according to the wireless communication standard.

Abstract: A device or an accessory may include a near- field communications antenna and a soft magnetic ring concentric with the near-field communications antenna. The device or accessory may further include at least one wireless charging coil concentric with the near- field communications antenna, a rectifier coupled to the at least one wireless charging coil, and a battery configured to receive a rectified voltage from the rectifier. The soft magnetic ring may be used to shunt magnetic flux from one or more nearby magnets in external electronic devices to prevent the magnets from repelling each other. The soft magnetic ring may be attracted to a magnet in an external device to help align wireless charging coils in the two mated devices.

Abstract: A wireless power system has a wireless power transmitting device and a wireless power receiving device. The devices in the wireless power system may communicate using in-band communication. The wireless power transmitting device may transmit data to the wireless power receiving device using frequency-shift keying (FSK) modulation. The wireless power receiving device may transmit data to the wireless power transmitting device using amplitude-shift keying (ASK) modulation. While transmitting data to the wireless power receiving device using FSK modulation, the wireless power transmitting device may monitor for ASK modulation from the wireless power receiving device. In response to detecting the ASK modulation from the wireless power receiving device, the wireless power transmitting device may abort the FSK data transmission and process the detected ASK modulation to receive data from the wireless power receiving device.
