Abstract:
Abstract:
A rack (10) for transporting and storing carriers includes a base (20), rolling members connected to the base, a frame (140), and a bumper portion (70). The base may include projecting portions (128) extending outward relative to the corner regions of the frame. The frame extends upwardly from the base and includes supports (48) for supporting carriers (90). The supports have metal surfaces for contacting the carriers. The bumper portion is disposed on at least a peripheral portion of the rack and is formed of plastic. A first elongated restraining member (80) my be provided to inhibit from being removed from the frame.
Abstract:
In order to support plates containing prepared foodstuffs in at least one stack, a rack has vertical stays (3), plate supporting bars (8) that project from the stays (3) and at least one additional supporting element, shaped in particular as a fork (17). Each plate (10) rests on at least four plate support areas (11, 12) on the supporting elements, whereas one plate support area (12) preferably retains the plate (10) from above, so that the plates (10) are retained without wobbling in all circumstances.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a robot is provided. The method includes the steps of: acquiring at least one of sound information and action information for a robot from a user in a serving place; determining identification information on the user on the basis of at least one of the sound information and the action information; and determining an operation to be performed by the robot on the basis of the identification information.
Abstract:
A modular storage system includes a unit body (102) having a first lateral end (104), a second lateral end (106) opposite the first lateral end, and an upper surface (108) extending between the first and second lateral ends. The unit body includes a first groove (130a) formed in the upper surface at the first lateral end and a first groove connector (132a) in the first groove. The system includes a tongue piece (200) having a first and second side (204, 206). Each of the first and second sides of the tongue piece has a shape corresponding to the first groove and a tongue connector configured to releasably engage the first groove connector.
Abstract:
A wheeled kitchen apparatus with a collapsible work surface includes a wheeled cabinet with a cabinet top and four cabinet sides. The cabinet top has a surface with an opening accommodating a basin, and also has a heating unit. The cabinet has four extensions located at the four cabinet sides. The four extensions are configurable between at least two positions including a first position that laterally extends the surface of the top of the cabinet and a second position in which the extensions fold down along the sides of the cabinet. The unit can include running water, including hot and cold water, and can also include an oven. The collapsible work surface permits the apparatus to fit through classroom doors and therefore usable in every school environment. The shape of the extensions, when configured in the upward position, safely moves school-age children away from the potentially dangerous heating unit and other equipment that may pose harm if within reach of the children.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to a dispenser configured for securely storing a plurality of items within a cart and providing access to a subset of the plurality of items to authorized users. According to various embodiments, the dispenser generally includes a housing defining an interior portion dimensioned to receive a storage cart having an array of receptacles each configured to hold one or more items, a laterally sliding access door configured to provide restricted access to the cart stored within the dispenser, and an item access mechanism configured to provide selective access to a subset of the plurality of items stored within the cart. The dispenser additionally comprises a cart guide mechanism and a cart locking mechanism configured to guide the cart into the housing and to secure the cart in an appropriate location within the housing for use with the item access mechanism.
