Abstract:
A multi-sensory product able to disperse chemical actives using reeds or other wicks, as well as providing a light show is disclosed. The product includes a form- within-a-form design wherein the inner form or vase is able to store the chemical actives, as well as mount the reeds or other wicks. The outer vase complements the aesthetics of the inner vase while at the same time concealing the electronics of the device. The electronics of the device can include a power source, as well as a circuit board for driving LEDs mounted thereon. The LEDs can generate a light show which can be refracted and diffused through the glass or polymer material forming the inner and outer vases thereby creating an aesthetically pleasing and multi-sensory experience through the use of the product.

Abstract:
Lighting object for providing a light show to an observer. The lighting object includes at least two LEDs, each of which emits light of a different wavelength, and a microcontroller for independently controlling the intensity levels of the at least two LEDs to vary colors perceived by the observer during the light show. The light show includes at leas one segment for which a memory stores, for each of the at least two LEDs, a target intensity level and timing information. The microcontroller calculates a plurality of intermediate intensity levels for the at least two LEDs for the duration of the segment based on a starting intensity level, the target intensity level, and the timing information for each of the at least two LEDs. The microcontroller also controls the at least two LEDs to operate at each of the calculated intermediate intensity levels during the segment.
Abstract:
A package including a container with a dispensing actuator for carrying and dispensing a primary product also includes an overcap for carrying a secondary product. The overcap includes a primary cap having an upper chamber and a lower chamber. The lower chamber is adapted to releasably attach to the container and cover the dispensing actuator. The upper chamber is adapted to contain the secondary product. The overcap also includes a secondary cap for covering the upper chamber and the secondary product.
Abstract:
A combination includes a container (50) of product having a longitudinal dimension and a valve oriented to discharge product generally longitudinally from the container. A housing (60) includes a first wall portion (70) enclosing a main body of the container and a second tapered wall portion (61) adjacent the first wall portion tapering to a discharge opening. The discharge opening (62) has a cross sectional size larger than a radius (R) of the container. Valve actuating apparatus (52) extends laterally from the valve and has an interfering relationship with the first wall portion (70). Relative movement of the container toward the discharge opening (62) causes the valve actuating apparatus (52) to be displaced against the first wall portion to actuate the valve and dispense product from the housing (60).
Abstract:
A product dispensing system includes an overcap that has a locking element extending therefrom. A container has a product disposed therein. A bracket is attached to the container. The bracket includes at least one flange and at least one slot. The at least one flange extends toward the at least one slot. A resilient member is disposed within the locking element.
Abstract:
A replacement device for a light bulb includes a translucent shell (11) and a base (12). The base is configured to be received in a conventional light socket. The base also includes a compartment, slot (16) or recess for receiving and securing a replaceable volatile active insert (17, 18) for enabling the device to emit an insect control material when the insert is secured in the compartment. Combinations of one or more of a coiled fluorescent light (14), a plurality of colored LEDs (15a, 15b, 15c), and an incandescent light source may also provided in the shell as a source of illumination. Thus, a single device is used as a replacement for a conventional light bulb that provides insect control in the form of a cartridge, bottle, mat, tube, sheet, patch, etc.
Abstract:
A replacement device for a light bulb includes a translucent shell and a base. The base supports a plurality of colored lights positioned so as to emit a light show through the shell. The base is configured to be received in a conventional light socket. The base also includes a compartment for receiving and securing a replaceable volatile active cartridge for enabling the device to emit an active ingredient from the cartridge when the cartridge is secured in the compartment. A dimmable white light source may also provided in the shell as a source of illumination. Thus, a single device is used as a replacement for a conventional light bulb and is a combination white light source/colored light show source/volatile active source.
Abstract:
An outdoor light system comprising a plurality light elements linked to a central controller. Each light element include a translucent shell, plurality of LEDs positioned so as to emit a light show through the shell. A compartment for receiving and securing a replaceable volatile active cartridge and a heater for enabling the device to effectively emit an active ingredient from the cartridge when the cartridge is secured in the compartment. A white light source may be provided in each device as a source of illumination along with the LEDs. The devices can be used as white light sources, for displaying a coordinated colored light shows, for displaying colored light schemes and for volatile active emission. The devices of disclosed the system may include an acoustic transducer for producing light and sound shows. The device may also include a light sensor, a motion detector and/or a microphone or acoustic receiver thereby enabling the light and sound shows to be dependent upon ambient light intensity, motion detection and/or ambient noise. The devices and systems are suitable for outdoor home lighting, porch and deck lighting and path/driveway lighting.
