Abstract:
A product dispensing system includes a housing that has a sidewall with at least one orifice and at least one protrusion in alignment with the at least one orifice. An exterior surface of the at least one protrusion provides a visual contrast in color, texture, or surface finish that differs from that of an exterior surface of the sidewall adjacent the orifice.
Abstract:
A light element includes a decorative, patterned translucent outer shell and a base. The base supports a plurality of LEDs positioned so as to emit a light show through the shell. The device also includes a compartment for receiving and securing a replaceable volatile active cartridge and a heater for enabling the device to effectively emit an active ingredient from the cartridge when the cartridge is secured in the compartment. A white light source is provided in the shell as a source of illumination along with the LEDs. The device can be used as a white light source, for displaying a colored light show, for displaying colored light is schemes and for volatile active emission. The device may include an acoustic transducer for producing light and sound shows. The device may also include a light sensor, a motion detector and/or a microphone or acoustic receiver thereby enabling the light and sound show to be dependent upon ambient light intensity, motion detection and/or ambient noise.

Abstract:
An oubdoor light system (75) comprising a plurality of light elements (.10) linked. to a central controller (23). Each light element include a translucent shell (11) and' a plurality of LEDs (15,16,17) positioned so as to emit a light show through the shell (11). A compartment for receiving a replaceable volatile active cartridge (27) and.a heater (24) ' for, enabling the device to. emit an active ingredient from the cartridge (27). A white light source (18,18a) may be provided in each device along with the LEDs (15,16,17). The devices can be used as white light sources,. for displaying a coordinated colored light shows, for displaying colored light schemes and for volatile active emission. The devices of the disclosed system may include an acoustic transducer (33), a light sensor (25a), a motion detector (25a) and/or a acoustic receiver (26a) thereby enabling light and sound shows to be dependent upon ambient light intensity, motion detection and/or ambient noise. The system is suitable for outdoor home lighting, porch and deck lighting and path/driveway lighting.
Abstract:
A diffusion device (50) comprises a bottom portion (54) having a bottom cover (57) disposed thereon. The device further includes a top portion (52) having a top cover (56) disposed atop the bottom portion (54) and a pump assembly disposed between the top cover (56) and the bottom cover (57). First, second, and third arm portions extend from the pump assembly, wherein the first, second, and third arm portions include first, second, and third piezoelectric devices, respectively, attached thereto.
Abstract:
An electrically operated diffuser has a fragrance-emitting element (8) for facilitating diffusion of an active material, and at least one light emitting diode (7). The at least one light emitting diode (7) serves as a nightlight and has a luminous intensity rating of at least about 5000 mcd at 20 mA. Also, the at least one light emitting diode (7) may be positioned at a back surface of the diffuser, such that when an active material is received in the compartment the at least one light emitting diode (7) shines through the active material. The diffuser may include a remote-use assembly to supply power to the diffuser from a wall socket remote from the diffuser. The diffuser may also include a light controller to change one or more of the color and the intensity of the at least one light emitting diode (7).
Abstract:
An insect control system for controlling insects within a predetermined area (20). The system includes a plurality of insect control devices distributed throughout the predetermined area, the insect control devices including at least one device that emits an insect repellant (24) and at least one spaced apart device that emits an insect attractant (22a-22d). A sensor (26) senses at least one ambient condition and emits one or more corresponding signals to a central control device (30). The central control device (30) is arranged to respond to the corresponding signals and to emit activation signals which control the operation of the insect control devices according to the corresponding signals.
Abstract:
A product dispensing system includes a housing that has a sidewall with at least one surface variation provided thereon. A dispensing opening is provided on a first side of the sidewall. A manual actuation button is provided on a second different side of the sidewall. A gripping force between about 25 N to about 40 N is utilized to hold the housing within a human hand without additional support.
Abstract:
A multi-sensory product able to disperse chemical actives using reeds or other wicks, as well as providing a light show is disclosed. The product includes a form- within-a-form design wherein the inner form or vase is able to store the chemical actives, as well as mount the reeds or other wicks. The outer vase complements the aesthetics of the inner vase while at the same time concealing the electronics of the device. The electronics of the device can include a power source, as well as a circuit board for driving LEDs mounted thereon. The LEDs can generate a light show which can be refracted and diffused through the glass or polymer material forming the inner and outer vases thereby creating an aesthetically pleasing and multi-sensory experience through the use of the product.
