A machine (1) for preparing a liquid food or beverage comprising: at least one outermost machine face selected from a front face (12), a top face and a lateral face (7); a means for emitting light (22) having at least one state of light emission and a state of light non emission and further having an illuminatable outer face (81, 101', 121) on said at least one outermost machine face (12), the illuminatable outer face (81, 101', 121) being arranged to be illuminated when in said state of light emission; and a control unit (20) connected to the light means. The control unit is arranged to detect at least one condition of such machine, in particular a condition involving a non immediate readiness of such machine to prepare a liquid food or beverage, and communicate said condition to a user via said illuminatable outer face (81, 101', 121) by changing the state of the light means (22). This illuminatable outer face (81, 101', 121) extends in at least one direction across a substantial part of the outermost machine face (12). Moreover, the illuminatable outer face (81, 101', 121) is arranged to be substantially entirely illuminated when in this state of light emission.

Waffle loading unit for infused beverages of various kind, like coffee, tea, camomile and the like for coffee making machines, adapted to load automatically in a selective manner a plurality of separated waffles into the machine infusion and distributing unit. Unit comprising a waffle loading basket (13) of rotating type, mounted on to the machine box-like envelope (12) and provided with a plurality of internally hollow cylindrical columns (17), adapted to contain a plurality of waffles (14) stacked to each other, of the same type of beverage for a column and of the same type or of different types of beverages for the remaining columns. Unit comprising also waffle feeder and expeller means (15) and waffle extractor means (54), co-operating with the waffle loading basket (13) for loading selectively the waffles (14) on a pre-established loading position and for displacing each loaded waffle in correspondence of the infusion and distributing unit (11). Unit comprising also waffle extractor means (54) adapted to extract each waffle (14) and to load it into the waffle feeder and expeller means (15).

A beverage making device comprising a brewing chamber for enclosing a pad containing a substance from which the beverage is brewed. A water supply conduit is present between pumping means and the brewing chamber. The brewing chamber has an outlet having an orifice through which the brewed beverage can leave the brewing chamber. A portion of the wall of the brewing chamber is stationary and the other portion of the wall can move away from the stationary part in order to open the brewing chamber. Means (1) are present for releasing pressure from the brewing chamber after the water supply to the brewing chamber has been terminated.

The invention concerns an apparatus automatically dispensing hot liquid into a mug, comprising a housing (1) bearing the mug (2), including a push-button (3) opposite the mug for switching the apparatus on and off, and housing the means for: pumping the liquid from an external supply (5); heating the liquid in a reservoir; transferring (6) the liquid from the supply into the reservoir (5) and then to the mug (2); injecting the hot liquid inside the mug, designed to be moved by pressing on the button (3); electronic means controlling said means; said mug (2) having a specific zone made of food material with high coefficient of elasticity and self-healing, designed to be perforated by the hot liquid injecting means while preventing any leakage of the liquid during perforation and removal of said means. The invention is designed for use in any motor vehicle.

Systems for controlled heating and/or agitation for liquid food or beverage product creation are disclosed. A dispenser (400) for producing a food or beverage liquid product from a frozen contents (120) in a receptacle (110, 1700) includes a chamber configured to hold a receptacle containing the contents and a dilution liquid inlet configured to supply a dilution liquid to the interior of the receptacle. The dispenser also includes a perforator (1720) configured to perforate the receptacle (1700) and form a product outlet from the receptacle for the liquid product and an agitator configured to impart motion to the receptacle (110, 1700) and/or the contents in the receptacle that increases a flow path from the liquid inlet to the product outlet taken by at least a portion of dilution liquid, when supplied, relative to a flow path from the liquid inlet to the product outlet taken by the portion of dilution liquid without the imparted motion.

The present invention relates in general to beverages providing enhanced taste perception. In particular, the present invention concerns beverages comprising a first homogeneous portion, and a second homogeneous portion being visually the same as the first portion, wherein a tastant is present in the second portion, the tastant being essentially absent from the first portion. Further aspects of the invention are a kit for the preparation of a beverage, a process for preparing a beverage and the use of a beverage according to the invention to reduce the quantity of tastant in a beverage without adversely affecting the taste of the beverage.

Um bei einem Verfahren zu m Zubereiten eines Kaffeegetränks, bei dem in einem Brühvorgang eine vorgebbare Gesamtmenge an Brühwasser durch eine Menge an Kaffeepulver geleitet wird, die geschmackliche Qualität frisch gebrühter Kaffeegetränke zu steigern, zumindest jedoch die Konstanz in der geschmacklichen Ausprägung nacheinander zubereiteter Kaffeegetränke zu erhöhen, ist für den Brühvorgang eine Gesamtdurchflusszeit vorgegeben oder vorgebbar, in welcher die Gesamtmenge an Brühwasser durch eine Menge an Kaffeepulver geleitet wird.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kapsel für einen Getränkezubereiter, wobei die Kapsel einen Kapselinhalt enthält, der ein oder mehrere pflanzliche Produkte umfasst, die unabhängig voneinander ausgewählt sind aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Fruchtprodukten und Gemüseprodukten, wobei mindestens ein pflanzliches Produkt von Zucker und Zuckerderivaten verschieden ist und nicht aus den Samen einer Kaffee- oder Kakaopflanze gewinnbar ist, und wobei der Kapselinhalt frei von Speisewürze ist.

Es wird eine Getränkeeinheit (200) zur Herstellung eines Getränks beschrieben. Die Getränkeeinheit (200) umfasst, ein erstes Bereitstellungsmodul (201) zur Bereitstellung einer ersten Flüssigkeit (101) und ein zweites Bereitstellungsmodul (202) zur Bereitstellung einer zweiten Flüssigkeit (102), die Alkohol enthält. Außerdem umfasst die Getränkeeinheit (200) ein Geschmacksmodul (205) zur Bereitstelllung von Zusatzstoffen (105), wobei das Geschmacksmodul (205) eingerichtet ist, eine erste Kapsel aufzunehmen, welche die Zusatzstoffe (105) für eine Portion eines ersten Getränks umfasst. Des Weiteren umfasst die Getränkeeinheit (200) ein Steuermodul, das eingerichtet ist, Parameter für die Herstellung des ersten Getränkes zu ermitteln, wobei die Parameter eine erste Menge von der ersten Flüssigkeit (101) und eine zweite Menge von der zweiten Flüssigkeit (102) anzeigen. Das Steuermodul ist weiter eingerichtet, zu veranlassen, dass durch das erste Bereitstellungsmodul (201) die erste Menge an erster Flüssigkeit (101) bereitgestellt wird, sowie zu veranlassen, dass durch das zweite Bereitstellungsmodul (202) die zweite Menge an zweiter Flüssigkeit (102) bereitgestellt wird. A beverage preparation apparatus for preparation of a beverage from a capsule in a clamp assembly (30). The clamp assembly has a first clamp member (31) and a second clamp member, where the inner surfaces of the first clamp member and the second clamp member form a clamp chamber (33) for substantially enclosing and supporting a capsule (10) during beverage preparation. The second clamp member comprises a rigid peripheral frame (32) having a central void and a resilient layer (37) extending across said central void. There is a piston (36) positioned in the central void and resiliently coupled to the peripheral frame (32) to allow limited resilient movement of the rigid peripheral frame (32) relative to the piston (36).
