A sprayhead (2) especially suited for coupling to an extension hose for use in a pull- out kitchen faucet, the sprayhead (2) including a selector subassembly (60) for choosing between both spray and aerate modes, and a volume control (70) built in to the sprayhead (2). The selector subassembly (60) is engaged to a detent finger-button (120) mounted on the housing (20) that selectively diverts water flowing through an aerated flow path to an alternate spray flow path, thereby allowing manual selection between spray mode and aerate mode. The volume control (70) includes a slide switch (52) on the housing (20) and coupled to a rotary valve assembly (72, 74, 77, 78, 100) for allowing the user to adjust the flow volume when in spray mode without affecting water volume in the aerate mode. When in aerate mode water is expelled from the sprayhead (2) through an aerator output (70), and when in spray mode water is expelled through a series of nozzles (42) oriented radially around the aerator output (70).

The present invention provides a showerhead that allows a bather to switch among at least three different water delivery functions. In the first function, the showerhead delivers a concentrated fluttering spray at a rate not to exceed 7,57 L/min (2.0 GPM). In the second function, the showerhead delivers a combined spray pattern, wherein the fluttering spray and a radially dispersed precision spray are simultaneously delivered to the bather at a rate not to exceed 9,46 L/min (2.5 GPM) for the combined water flow. In the third function, the showerhead delivers the precision spray pattern at a rate not to exceed 9,46 L/min (2.5 GPM). The combination spray pattern is effected without compromising either the desirable massaging and cleaning effect of water delivery or the inherent water conservation benefits. In addition, the showerhead of the present invention provides an automatic return feature for return of the showerhead to the first function when water pressure to the showerhead falls below a predetermined bottom threshold.

Die Erfindung ist insbesondere im Bereich von Lacksprühdosen verwendbar, da hier eine kontrollierte und gleichmässige Ausbringrate zur Vermeidung mangelhafter Lackierergebnisse von besonderer Bedeutung ist.

The invention relates to a valve to be used in a washing gun where said valve is provided with an inlet for the washing fluid and an outlet to be connected to a nozzle, and a trigger mechanism for controlling the flow of fluid through the valve, the valve being provided with means such that the force necessary to be exerted on the trigger by the hand and fingers of the operator is independent of the static pressure of the washing fluid provided to the washing gun, whereby a more user-friendly operation with less fatigue of the muscles of the hand and the fingers of the user is obtained, and such that when said force on the trigger is removed, for instance by the operator unintentionally dropping the washing gun during operation hereof, the fluid flow from said inlet chamber to said nozzle is automatically interrupted, thus preventing possible damages caused by the washing fluid.
