A web guide control unit (10) for guiding a web is provided. The web guide control unit (10) includes a web guide control unit (501) for guiding a web. The web guide control unit includes a single guide roller (201). The guide roller includes an adjustment unit (310) and two tension measurement units (301, 302) for measuring the tension of the web at a first location (215) and a second location (216) of the guide roller. The present disclosure also provides a web processing apparatus with at least one web guide control unit (01) as described herein is provided. "Processing" as used herein is typically understood as "coating". A method for guiding a web by means of the web guide control or the web processing apparatus is also disclosed.

The invention relates to a pressure roller device for a machine that is used to cut wound laminar material. The inventive device includes a support bar (10) to which a pressure roller (20) is rotatably mounted, said pressure roller comprising a plurality of adjacent pressure segments (25) which each have an outer cylindrical surface (21) that is disposed opposite a roll (30). The invention also includes guide means for guiding the movements of the pressure segments (25) radially in relation to the support bar (10) and push means for individually and independently pushing each pressure segment (25) that is guided by the guide means against the roll (30). The outer cylindrical surfaces (21) of the pressure segments (25) can be positioned off-centre in relation to a central line (15) of the support bar (10) with different eccentricities which are each pre-determined by the contact between the outer cylindrical surface (21) of each pressure segment (25) and the roll (30).

A method of dynamically controlling the tension of a moving web material. A web material is transported with an apparatus. A modulus-of-elasticity-analog value is determined for the web material. The modulus-of-elasticity-analog value is used to adjust an instantaneous gain of the web control system. The instantaneous gain is used in the control calculation of the control system (500, 800, 900). The control calculation is used to control the speed of a web handling drive (910, 105, 205, 405, 710). Controlling the speed of at least one appropriate web handling drive controls the tension of the web.

A device for measuring variations in the web tension occurring transversely across continuously advancing webs, such as paper webs (1). The device comprises a conducting roller (2) mounted at one side of the web (1) in parallel with the web plane and perpendicularly to the direction of travel of the web. The conducting roller (2) is provided with a number of leaf elements (4) of a thin film having piezoelectric properties, said leaf elements being disposed transversely along the roller envelope face (3). Each leaf element (4) has direct or indirect contact with at least one transmitter/receiver means (7) positioned adjacent the conducting roller (2), said transmitter/receiver means (7) arranged, during the advancement of the web (1), to register electric pulses emitted from each one of said leaf elements (4) in response to the web being pressed against said elements. The pulses thus received are transmitted for amplification and processing in order to estimate the variations in the web tension transversely across the web (1).

It is presented a roll arrangement (1) for determining a web tension profile of a web (W). The roll arrangement (1) comprises a roll (2) having a peripheral surface (3) for guiding the web (W), which peripheral surface (3) is provided with a plurality of openings (7), and a plurality of sensor arrangements (8; 8'). Each of the plurality of openings (7) are arranged to receive one sensor arrangement (8; 8') of the plurality of sensor arrangements (8; 8') to thereby sense forces applied by the web (W) to the roll (2). The roll arrangement (1) is adapted to suspend the sensor arrangements (6) in the respective opening (7).

The invention relates to a web or strip tension measuring apparatus (1) comprising a force pick-up arrangement (2) with at least two components (4, 5), which pick up force, are arranged at a distance from one another and are coupled to one another via at least two webs (6, 7, 8, 9) and a central web (10), and a measuring device (3) which is arranged on the central web (10). The invention is characterized in that the webs (6, 7, 8, 9) are designed such that the latter are suitable for picking up and transmitting compressive forces, and the measuring device (3) comprises at least one sensor (12) which is arranged on the central web (11) and is oriented in such a manner that shearing forces acting on the force pick-up arrangement (2) in the installation position of the web or strip tension measuring apparatus (1) can be detected.

Zum Abtasten der Bahnbewegung einer Materialbahn (10) in einem Bearbeitungsprozess, insbesondere einem Druckprozess, wird ein Inkrementalgeber (16) verwendet, wobei bei einer an sich nicht vorgesehenen Rückwärtsbewegung der Materialbahn (10) die Ausgabe von mittels des Inkrementalgebers (16) erzeugten Signalen (up, dn) unterdrückt wird und diese erst wieder ausgegeben werden, wenn auf die Rückwärtsbewegung eine Vorwärtsbewegung folgt, wobei der Weg der Vorwärtsbewegung dem Weg der zuvor ausgeführten Rückwärtsbewegung der Materialbahn (10) entspricht. Erst danach werden den Signalen (up, dn) entsprechende Steuersignale (up*) ausgegeben.

A web conveying apparatus (10) that conveys a web (20), includes: a transverse position displacement detection unit (2) that detects a transverse position displacement of the web (20); a transverse position correction unit (4) that corrects a transverse position of the web (20) by a guide roller (3); width detection units (6a, 6b) that detect a width size in a left-right direction of the web (20); and a control unit (L) that controls the transverse position correction unit (4) in accordance with the transverse position displacement detected by the transverse position displacement detection unit (2) and performs feedback control to position the web (20) in a target position. The control unit (1) changes a correction amount in the feedback control in accordance with the width size of the web (20) detected by the width detection units (6a, 6b).
