A slitter-winder comprises an unwinding station (11), a slitting section (12) and a winding-up section (13) of the slitter-winder. Below the unwinding station (11) is located a pulper (14). On the run of the web (W) between the unwinding station (11) and the slitting section (12) of the slitter-winder is located an edge-trim slitting device (10). The edge-trim slitting device (10) is located close to the unwinding station (11) so that slit edge trims (T) can be guided into the pulper (14) of the unwinding station (11).

The invention relates to a homogenized tobacco sheet production line comprising: o A tank (501) adapted to contain a slurry formed by a tobacco powder blend, a binder and an aerosol former in an aqueous medium; o A cast apparatus (600) adapted to receive slurry from the tank and to cast the slurry so as to form a homogenized tobacco material; o A movable transporting support (606) on which said slurry is casted and adapted to transport the homogenized tobacco material along a transport direction; o A slitter (611) located downstream the cast apparatus adapted to slit the homogenized tobacco material along the transport direction so as to form portioned homogenized tobacco sheets; and o A winding station (613) located downstream the slitter adapted to receive the portioned homogenized tobacco sheets from the slitter and to wind at least one of the portioned homogenized tobacco sheets in a bobbin. It also relates to a method for inline production of a homogenized tobacco sheet.

The invention relates to a pressure roller device for a machine that is used to cut wound laminar material. The inventive device includes a support bar (10) to which a pressure roller (20) is rotatably mounted, said pressure roller comprising a plurality of adjacent pressure segments (25) which each have an outer cylindrical surface (21) that is disposed opposite a roll (30). The invention also includes guide means for guiding the movements of the pressure segments (25) radially in relation to the support bar (10) and push means for individually and independently pushing each pressure segment (25) that is guided by the guide means against the roll (30). The outer cylindrical surfaces (21) of the pressure segments (25) can be positioned off-centre in relation to a central line (15) of the support bar (10) with different eccentricities which are each pre-determined by the contact between the outer cylindrical surface (21) of each pressure segment (25) and the roll (30).

The invention relates to a slitter-winder for material webs, comprising the following: a slitting device (6) for dividing the material web (4) into strips (7), an expansion device (8) for separating the strips (7) in such a way that their longitudinal edges run parallel at a distance from one another and a winding device for winding each strip (7) onto a core. The winding device comprises only one winding station, provided with a single winding shaft (12) which is designed as a friction winding shaft and which consists of a central drive shaft (20) and a multitude of annular friction elements (21), arranged adjacent to one another on the drive shaft (20). Each friction element (21) has a friction body (22) which can be frictionally-engaged and driven by the drive shaft (20) and external clamping bodies (25) which are connected to the mandrel (11) in a force-fit. The clamping bodies (25) transmit no effective force to a core (11) as they do not extend for a sufficient distance in the direction of the winding shaft (12) axis.

Procedimiento que comprende el paso de una banda de papel (21 ) por una zona de corte (4) configurando las tiras de papel (22) y las cuales son bobinadas posteriormente, a través de un tensionado independiente a Ia salida de Ia zona de corte (4) y el bobinado individual de cada tira de papel (22) en una bobina (61) con un sistema de tracción individual de velocidad y potencia ajustada a una tensión soportable por dicha tira de papel (22). El sistema presenta en Ia zona de corte (4) un portacuchillas (41 ) que presenta unas cuchillas (44) sujetas y espaciadas en una regleta (42) por una pluralidad de separadores (43) calibrados, intercalados de forma alternativa. Los medios de tensionado (5) están definidos por una pluralidad de tensores independientes (51 ), y los medios de bobinado (6) de las tiras de papel (22) comprenden motores (62) independientes para cada bobina (61 ).
