Abstract:
A container used for chromatographic sample analysis has (a) at least one silica uppermost layer, which is deposited onto the container using a liquid phase deposition process, and, optionally, (b) at least one indicator present in at least part of the at least one silica uppermost layer for visually distinguishing the container from other containers, and/or determining the "use status" of the container, and/or identifying the proper orientation of the container when it is to be put in use, and/or providing a means of decoration, identification, or counterfeit detection. In one preferred embodiment, the indicator is thermochromic. In another preferred embodiment, the indicator is photochromic.
Abstract:
A system for analyzing the content of a gas, characterised by comprising means for drawing off the gas developed during article moulding; means for feeding the drawn-off gas to a gas chromatograph.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pyridazinyl derivative (I) and its use as a reference compound in the determination of potentially genotoxic impurities in levosimendan samples. The invention also relates to an analytic method for the determination of potentially genotoxic impurities in levosimendan samples wherein (I) is used as a reference compound. Levosimendan is a medicament useful in the treatment of heart failure.
Abstract:
Methods are provided for making rapid labeled dextran ladders and other calibrants useful in liquid chromatography. The methodologies include a two-step process comprising a reductive amination step of providing a reducing glycan and reacting it with a compound having a primary amine to produce an intermediate compound. The intermediate compound is then rapidly tagged with a rapid tagging reagent to produce the rapid labeled dextran ladder.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of monitoring performance of a liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) system, comprising the steps of: (a) performing LC with a first buffer, said first buffer comprising a defined concentration of a first compound, said performing comprising a step of eluting; (b) subjecting the eluate of said LC to electro- spray ionization; and (c) determining the amount of said first compound in said eluate by means of MS, thereby monitoring said performance; wherein said first compound (i) has either no affinity or negligible affinity to the chromatographic matrix; and (ii) is detectable by MS.
