Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method for analyzing a product stream of a chemical reaction. The method includes withdrawing a portion of the product stream of the chemical reaction from a reactor, the portion of the product stream having a volume of less than about 200 µL. The method further includes mixing the portion of the product stream with a diluent to produce a sample and then transferring the sample to a liquid chromatography device. A measured chemical profile is then developed, via the liquid chromatography device, which can be used for process monitoring or real time decision making. In some embodiments, the method can include adjusting a reaction condition in the reactor based on differences between the measured chemical profile and a desired chemical profile.

The present invention discloses analytical high throughput methods for accurately, reliably, and efficiently screening and identifying polymers that are substantive to a particular material, such as hydroxyapatite. The present invention also discloses liquid chromatography columns for screening and identifying polymers that are substantive to a particular material, methods of preparing such liquid chromatography columns, and kits that may be used to screen and identify polymers that are substantive to a particular material.

Abstract:
A device and method is described for the collection of breath or air samples into a chemically clean bag or balloon, to facilitate analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in low concentrations in the collected samples. A reservoir of activated charcoal is introduced into the bag or balloon for initial removal of VOCs and it is then replaced with a similar reservoir of activated charcoal until the bag or balloon is employed to collect a sample. The device fulfills a long-felt need for collection of breath and air samples with a high VOC signal-to-noise ratio.

본 발명은 a) 염화카드뮴 용액이 주입된 진공 용기에 시료를 주입하고 냉장 보관하는 단계; b) 용기를 진동시킨 후, 주변과 온도 평형 시키는 단계; c) 용기 내의 시료를 메탄분리기로 통과시켜 용존 메탄과 잔류물을 분리하는 단계; 및 d) 분리된 용존메탄을 질량분석계로 분석하는 단계; 를 포함하는 해수 내 용존메탄 측정방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 측정방법은 용존메탄의 회수율을 최대한 높여 그에 따른 분석율을 높이고, 소량의 시료로도 분석이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 또한 본 발명에 따른 측정방법은 용존메탄 측정 이외에도 용존메탄이 추출된 시료를 이용하여 황 동위원소 분석을 동시에 진행할 수 있다.
