Abstract: A wirelessly locatable tag may be configured to transmit a wireless signal to an electronic device to facilitate localization of the wirelessly locatable tag by the electronic device. The wirelessly locatable tag may include an antenna assembly comprising an antenna frame defining a top surface and a peripheral side surface and an antenna positioned along the peripheral side surface and configured to transmit the wireless signal. The wirelessly locatable tag may further include a frame member coupled to the antenna assembly and defining a battery cavity configured to receive a button cell battery and an enclosure enclosing the antenna assembly and the frame member. The enclosure may include a first housing member formed from a unitary polymer structure and defining a top wall defining an entirety of a top exterior surface of the wirelessly locatable tag.

Abstract: This document describes techniques and devices to detect and classify human and animal presence and/or motion based on changes in the interaction of the human or animal with Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) radio frequency (RF) signals within or about a building structure, such as a home or office. A first WLAN device transmits a sounding packet to a second WLAN device and receives an acknowledgement (ACK) of receiving the sounding packet by the second WLAN device. The first WLAN device uses the received ACK to determine Channel State Information (CSI) for an RF signal path between the first WLAN device and the second WLAN device, aggregates the determined CSI with additional CSI, and uses the aggregated CSI to determine a presence or a motion within the structure.

Abstract: Managing foreign RFID tags within a secured area involves use of a first RFID portal system to read tag data from an RFID tag present within a first portal zone. A processing device associated with the first RFID portal system is used to determine whether the RFID tag is entering the secured area. The determination is based on an evaluation of a direction of travel of the RFID tag through the first portal zone. Responsive to determining that the RFID tag is in fact entering the secured area, one or more operations are performed to cause a first tag value corresponding to the tag data to be added into a safe to exit (STE) list.
