    Abstract: A method is disclosed of manufacturing a transparent wear resistant surface layer (1). The method comprising the steps of, applying a decorative material on a carrier, applying a dry powder layer comprising a mix of processed wood fibres, binder and wear resistant particles above the decorative layer, curing the mix to a decorative surface, comprising the transparent wear resistant layer, by applying heat and pressure on the mix. In a preferred embodiment the method comprises the step of pressing the mix against an embossed matrix to create an embossed decorative surface with high wear resistance.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to building panels, such as floor panels, comprising a locking device. The locking device comprises a protrusion (2) and a groove (3) configured to cooperate for vertical locking of a first edge portion (1 a) of a first building panel (1 ) to an adjacent second edge portion (1b) of a second building panel (T). The locking device further comprises a separate tongue (5a) arranged in an insertion groove (7) and a recess (4) configured to cooperate for horizontal locking of the first and the second edge portions. The first and second edge portions are configured to be assembled by a relative essentially horizontal displacement and/or by angling. The insertion groove (7) is provided vertically below at least one horizontal plane (HX) extending along a vertical locking surface provided in a third edge portion of the first building panel (1).
