Abstract:
The tile for a suspended ceiling system generally has a folded sheet of a high-pressure laminate material having a rectangular shape, the tile having at least a backing layer on an inside face and an externally visible decorative layer; the tile having a pair of opposite longitudinal edges and a pair of opposite transversal edges, the edges of at least one of the two pairs having at least one inward fold rigidly projecting from the inside face, and can be used as structure to be held by support members of a ceiling.
Abstract:
A press is described (10) for the production of panels, comprising an upper half-form (16) and a lower half-mould (18) made to receive a mould by which the panels are made, the half-moulds having a deformable structure for obtaining non-plane panels. To be able to obtain panels of any shape, said structure consists of flat segments (22a-22h) hinged between each other two by two and each equipped with motor means (30, 31 ) for rotating the respective segment with respect to, and independently from, the adjacent segment.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A thick and lightweight decoration board formed by laminating plate materials. Plate materials (1, 2) composing a head board (A) as a decoration board are pasted together. A plurality of depressions (5) are formed proximately to each other while leaving the circumferential fringe part on the inner surface of the plate material (1). Since thin plate parts (6) are formed partially by the depressions (5), a thick, massive and lightweight head board (A) can be obtained.
Abstract:
A device for moulding workpieces has at least two front plates (2, 2') provided with guiding grooves (3). Mutually parallel pressing segments (4) can be mounted in the guiding grooves (3) and the workpiece can be pressed against the pressing segments (4) by a pressing element (6).
Abstract:
An adjustable press tool for affixing edge strips to objects having rounded or curved parts. The tool includes a radially grooved (11) disk (10), height adjusting devices (20) and clamping devices (30) arranged in pairs in all grooves with the exception of one groove, in which the clamping device is replaced with an openable locking device (40) for a press means consisting of a rigid, flexible strap (14) which forms a peripherally extending, outer anvil surface for a fluid-filled hose (12) which exerts peripherally inwardly acting pressure on the object provided with a glued edge strip.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a furniture piece (152), such as a furniture leg, is provided. The method comprises the steps of providing (140) at least one piece of veneer (100a-d) in the form of a veneer sheet (110); and rolling (143) the veneer sheet (110) into a veneer unit (120).
Abstract:
A three dimensional bending wooden veneer (1 ) for a home furnishing object has a front side (2) adapted to be visible in the final home furnishing object, and a back side (10) adapted for mounting the veneer (1 ) to a support layer of the home furnishing object. The veneer (1 ) has a veneer thickness (VT) of 0.5 to 2.5 mm. Parallel recesses (12, 14, 16, 18) are formed in the back side (10) of the veneer (1 ) to such a recess depth (RD) that a remaining thickness (RT), which is that part of the veneer thickness (VT) that remains after making the respective recess (12,14, 16, 18), is 0.02-0.3 mm. The invention comprises also a method of producing such a veneer and an apparatus for producing such a veneer and a method of producing a home furnishing object.
Abstract:
A method for facilitating the beveling work at the circumferential edge of a curved decoration board. A substrate (1) and a decoration material (2) constituting a decoration board, i.e. a head board (A), are formed by cutting a planar woody material into a specified shape. Subsequently, the substrate (1) and the decoration material (2) are finished by painting and beveled parts (3, 4) are formed at the circumferential edge parts of the substrate (1) and the decoration material (2) under planar state. Consequently, the substrate (1) and the decoration material (2) can be beveled easily without requiring any troublesome control. The machined substrate (1) and decoration material (2) are integrated by sticking and shaped to have a curved surface by means of a press.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a mould for the manufacture of curved insulating panels, which comprises an upper half-mould (2) and a lower half-mould (3) opposite each other. The structure of both said half-moulds is formed by a respective chain of modular frames (5) hinged together and having a pyramidal or similar shape, which are connected at their tips by actuators. These actuators, when they are operated, vary their length and cause the frames to rotate with respect to each other, thereby curving the surface of the hold-moulds acting on the panels to be manufactured. In this way it is possible to produce panels with various radii of curvature using a single mould. The invention also includes a press for use with the abovementioned mould.
