Abstract:
An antiperspirant active composition comprising an aluminum salt having an aluminum to chloride molar ratio of about 0.3:1 to about 3: 1, exhibiting a SEC chromatogram having a SEC Peak 4 to Peak 3 intensity ratio of at least 7 and a Peak 4 intensity greater than a Peak 5 intensity in aqueous solution. The composition can optionally include zirconium. Also, methods and processes of making the same.
Abstract:
Make-up application systems are provided that comprise an air compressor unit, an airbrush connected to the air compressor unit, the airbrush having a gravity feed cup, and a tube connecting the air compressor unit to the airbrush. A cosmetic formulation comprising at least one mineral and water may be introduced into the gravity feed cup, which may then be aspirated into the airbrush and dispersed in a fine mist or atomized spray for delivery on a surface such as a person's skin. The system permits a more flawless make-up application finish for the face, neck and chest, and body, permitting feathering and blending not capable with traditional brush or sponge make-up application systems. Advantages are numerous and include, a more desirable appearance, longer lasting and quicker drying make-up, avoidance of harmful toxins and skin irritants, and enhanced hygienic application. Additionally, certain embodiments enjoy a quiet compressor operation through the use of isolation devices, certain materials of construction, and/or cushioning sponges.
Abstract:
Antiperspirant compositions that include a continuous phase employing a water-immiscible liquid and a structurant, and a disperse phase employing a solution of antiperspirant active in water.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a cosmetic composition comprising an effect pigment based on a glass flake as a substrate with a coating, said coating comprising at least one layer of at least one high refractive material, said material having a refractive index of at least 1.8, and/or a semitransparent metal coating wherein said glass flakes comprising the following composition: 65 - 75 wt.-% silicon oxide, preferably SiO 2 2 - 9 wt.-% aluminium oxide, preferably AI 2 O 3 0.0 - 5 wt.-% calcium oxide, preferably CaO 5 - 12 wt.-% sodium oxide, preferably Na 2 O 8 - 15 wt.-% boron oxide, preferably B 2 O 3 0.1 - 5 wt.-% titanium oxide, preferably TiO 2 0.0 - 5 wt.-% zirconium oxide, preferably ZrO 2 based on the weight of said glass flakes. The invention is also directed to the use of the cosmetic composition.
Abstract:
A method of instantly reducing the appearance of wrinkles and skin imperfections while smoothing the skin, which comprises applying a cosmetic composition comprising a fractal particle based gel.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to emulsion science, especially within the area of alcohol-in-oil type emulsion, where the level of ions comprised in the alcohol-in-oil type emulsion is relatively high. In particular, the invention relates to a stable alcohol-in-oil type emulsion comprising a multivalent metal salt that may act as an antiperspirant.
Abstract:
A composition for reducing hair growth includes α-difluoromethylornithine, an antiperspirant salt or deodorant active ingredient, and a vehicle.
Abstract:
Antiperspirant compositions comprising: (a) from about 0.1% to about 30% by weight of the composition, of a high-efficacy antiperspirant active; (b) from about 0.05% to about 15% by weight of the composition, of a malodor reducing agent; (c) from about 0.1% to about 35% by weight of the composition, of a thickening agent; (d) from about 10% to about 99% by weight of the composition, of an anhydrous liquid carrier; (e) from about 5 ppm to about 20% by weight of the composition, of a primary fragrance; and (f) from at least about 5 ppm by weight of the composition, of a secondary fragrance that is distinct from the primary fragrance and is included in a surfactant-free, water-releasable matrix, which renders the secondary fragrance within the matrix substantially odorless prior to aqueous activation.
