Abstract:
An information management and display system includes a content management server and at least one retailer, a client advertisements server and at least one content display device communicating with the content management server. The client advertisements server is adapted to store advertising information, the content management server is adapted to receive the advertising information from the client advertisements server and the at least one content display device is adapted to receive the advertising information from the content management server and display the advertising information.
Abstract:
Building automation systems typically comprise one or more simple control panels for controlling lighting, air conditioning etc. Such control panels are typically always on, and but are resource limited having small display areas as well as limited processing and memory capabilities. A system and a method is described for enabling the display of messages in a portion of the display area of such control panels. The system comprises an information centre which sources information such as weather forecasts or number of new emails. The collected information is then formatted into a message which is sent to a gateway device associated with the building automation system. The gateway device then provides the message to the control panels for display to the building occupants for representation (visual or audio) or action (eg turn on a device). The message generation system can comprise a web interface to allow occupants to customise the type and frequency of messages sent to their dwelling. Information gathering and processing can be distributed to the gateway devices such as by using instructions provided by the information centre. The system thus allows occupants to utilise existing infrastructure for displaying short informational messages of potential interest to the occupants.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a signage system (10) comprising a plurality of textile products (12), wherein each textile product comprises a flexible display device (14) adapted to show a display content forming part of a unified message. The system is characterized in that each flexible display device (14) further is adapted to show an indication ofthe position of the display content of the flexible display device in relation to the display contents of the other flexible display devices in the unified message, before showing the display content. The present invention also relatesto a method for presenting a unified message by means of a plurality of flexible display devices (14) each comprised in a textile product (12).
Abstract:
An electronic sign employs a bi-stable, non-volatile display material activatable by electrodes to convey information. A sensor detects when the electronic sign is inserted in or in the vicinity of an insertion area, and controls the operation of the sign based on the detected location. A backplane in the electronic sign includes different patterns of addressable elements to provide a display that pixel, font region, or icon addressable or have a combination of one or more of the pixel, font region, or icon addressability. A remote device communicates with the electronic sign, and multiple electronic signs may communicate with each other via a communication protocol, such as mesh networking.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A label for a product includes an electronic display for displaying label information. The digital label includes a processor, a memory, and a display configured to store and display label information about a product to which the label is attached. The digital label also stores product authentication data for authenticating the product to which the label is attached.
Abstract:
Wearable multimedia delivery devices and methods of use thereof. A first variation provides a video jacket incorporating multimedia information delivery and optionally including separate power and multimedia information sources so as to minimize restriction of motion for the wearing user. In one variation, the separate power and multimedia information sources are provided on a belt coupled to a multimedia delivery component. Another variation provides a video badge wearable by a user, for example, when delivering a service, such as waitering. A third variation provides a video belt wearable by a user, for example, when deliverying a service, such as waitering. Other variations are provided for other wearable video options. Additional features include impact resistance and heat dissipation.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a digital album having a hard drive and scanner configured to scan photographic prints or documents. The digital album allows a user to save the photographic prints or scanned documents as digital images on the hard drive, or another medium, and then view individual images or play photo album slideshows comprising a plurality of digital images. Additionally, a user may upload digital images from an external medium to the hard drive of the photo album, and then view those images and/or include them in a playlist. The digital album of the present invention advantageously allows a user to scan photographic prints or documents, upload or download digital images, and view digital images individually or in an album format, in a substantially automated manner and without the need for complex peripheral devices.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for synchronizing a presentation displayed on a set of digital playback devices. One described method for synchronizing a plurality of digital playback devices includes storing on a local computer schedule data defining playback parameters of a visual presentation and storing on each of a set of digital playback devices command response data associated with each digital playback device. The method also includes broadcasting a command based on the schedule data to the set of digital playback devices. The method further includes processing the command at each digital playback device based on the command response data to provide a synchronized presentation on the set of digital playback devices.
