Bei einem Gepäckstück (1), mit einem Gepäckstückkörper (3), einer in dem Gepäckstückkörper (3) integrierten, als elektronischer tag ausgeführten Displayeinrichtung (32), die eine Anzeigefläche aufweist, wobei auf der Anzeigefläche (4) für eine Flug notwendige Flug- und Personendaten anzeigbar sind, ist vorgesehen, dass die Anzeigefläche (4) eine Länge (A) zwischen 160 und 200 mm und eine Breite (B) zwischen 38 und 60 mm aufweist.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for presenting content on tearable displays. One of the methods includes presenting, by a device having a tearable display, first content on the tearable display; receiving, at the device, an indication of a tear in the tearable display, the tear in the tearable display defining a first portion and a second portion of the tearable display; in response to receiving the indication, determining, by the device, a size of the second portion of the tearable display; and presenting, by the device, second content within the second portion of the tearable display including sizing the second content according to the size of the second portion of the tearable display.

A method and apparatus for providing information along a shelf edge of a retailer is described. On a display configured to be oriented along an edge of a shelf of a retailer, a first user interface including first information about a first product on the shelf is provided. At least one second user interface including at least one second information about at least one second product on the shelf is provided on the display. An individual is permitted to edit a parameter of the first user interface and/or the at least one second user interface. The parameter may include at least one of: a size of the user interface on the display, a shape of the user interface on the display, and a location of the user interface on the display. The first information and the at least one second information may be outputted concurrently to the display.

Updating a multi-band reconfigurable electronic shelf label includes waking-up a transceiver and processor of the electronic shelf label, such that the transceiver can be reconfigured to operate on a selected frequency band in order to receive updated information on a data link associated with that selected frequency band. The selected frequency band is chosen based on a power efficiency of the associated data link. The updated information can be received on the associated data link of the selected frequency band, and can be displayed on a display of the electronic shelf label. A supplemental data link using a Radio Frequency Identification circuit can be provided among the other data link selections in the label.

An apparatus comprises a cable including conductors to carry data signals and a power voltage from a device when the cable is connected to the device, and at least one active display assembly fixed along a length of the cable. The active display assembly includes a power converter connected to the conductors to convert the power voltage to a supply voltage, and a programmable display and a controller powered by the power converter. The programmable display is configured to display programmed indicia responsive to the supply voltage, and the controller is configured to program the display.

This invention relates to a clothes hanger for supporting an item of clothing. The clothes hanger includes a hanging means for hanging the clothes hanger from a support means, and further includes an electronic display device located in the region of the neck portion 5 of the clothes hanger, the electronic display device including a viewing screen adapted to display promotional and/or informational material. The arrangement and construction is such that the electronic display device is adapted to be activated, or activatable, upon the clothes hanger being removed from the support means by a user.

사용자와의 상호작용에 의한 광고가 가능한 옥외 광고 LED 전광판 및 사용자와의 상호 작용 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명은 광고 영상 및 문자 정보를 디스플레이하는 디스플레이부; 광고 영상 및 문자 정보가 저장되어 있는 데이터베이스부; 상기 전광판에 설치되며 사용자로부터 데이터를 입력받을 수 있는 입력부; 상기 입력부로부터 전송되는 입력 데이터의 특징을 추출하는 분석부 및 상기 분석부로부터 분석된 데이터에 의해 상기 데이터베이스에서 매칭 광고를 검색하는 검색부를 포함하여, 사용자가 능동적으로 자신이 보고 싶은 광고에 대한 정보를 입력하고, 입력된 정보에 가장 알맞은 광고를 탐색하여 옥외 광고 장치를 통해 디스플레이할 수 있어 사용자가 자신이 원하는 광고를 신속하게 시청할 수 있어 사용자가 옥외 광고 장치와 상호 작용이 가능한 옥외 광고 LED 전광판 및 사용자와의 상호 작용 방법을 제공하는 것을 기술적 요지로 한다.

Electrochromic materials which change colour by the application of an electric stimulus can be used in a multitude of fields to yield different effects. A displayed image may be changed, including both the motif of the image and its colour. Importantly, a single chromatic variation may be used as a means of communication. For example, a user holds a mobile device (01), which is capable of a first wireless communication (02) to a second device (03). The second device (03) integrates display means (05), wireless communication means (06) and power means (07). The second device can establish a second wireless communication (04) to another device or set of devices. Systems are thus described that use chromatic variations in culturally-meaningful ways.
