Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for operating neural networks. For example, a first apparatus may receive a set of sparse weight vectors. The first apparatus may compress the set of sparse weight vectors to produce a compressed set of sparse weight vectors. The first apparatus may operate a neural network based on the compressed set of sparse weight vectors. In another example, a second apparatus may receive a set of sparse weight vectors. The second apparatus may perform a sparse computation based on the set of sparse weight vectors, and the performance of the sparse computation may produce one or more partial sums. The second apparatus may operate a neural network based at least in part on the one or more partial sums.

Abstract: Devices and methods for wireless communication are disclosed. A method includes a wireless station receiving a first packet that includes a first media payload and a first media timestamp from a second device. The method includes the station capturing a time of arrival (TO A) timestamp in response to receiving the first packet from the second device. The TOA timestamp is sampled using a device clock of the station. The method includes the station receiving a second packet that includes a second media payload and a second media timestamp from the second device. A time of departure (TOD) timestamp associated with a transmission time of the first packet is embedded in the second packet. The TOD timestamp is sampled using a system clock of the second device. The method includes the station synchronizing its device clock to the system clock of the second device based on the TOA and TOD timestamps..

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. In certain implementations, the apparatus may perform a first key agreement procedure to determine a first shared secret for communicating with a second device. In one aspect, the first shared secret may be associated with first BI of the first device and a second BI of the second device. The apparatus may maintain a first correlation between the first shared secret and the second BI. The apparatus may perform a key agreement recovery procedure when it is determined that the second device does not maintain a second correlation between the first shared secret and the first BI.

Abstract: In an aspect of the present disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided to overcome the deficiencies discussed above. The apparatus may include a frontend component and a storage element. The frontend component may include a processor configured to communicate with a second device and to receive a signal from the second device, the signal providing power to the apparatus and providing profile information. The storage element may be coupled to the frontend component and may be configured to receive the profile information and to store the profile information while powered by the frontend component through the signal from the second device.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for behaviorally modelled smart notifications are provided. The apparatus analyzes first information associated with at least one user of an apparatus, and analyzes second information associated with a message received on the apparatus. The further compares the first information with the second information, and generates an alert instruction for indicating that the message is received, the alert instruction including one or more characteristics of an alert, the one or more characteristics being based on a result of the comparing. In an aspect, the apparatus may be configured to generate the alert based on the alert instruction.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) without a radio resource control (RRC) connection to a base station includes receiving system information from the base station and transmitting a data communication to the base station over a control plane without establishing an RRC connection with the base station. A UE in an RRC suspended state may transmit a data communication to the base station over a user plane without resuming an RRC connection with the base station. The data communication may comprise data and UE identity information and/or a cause indication. A base station may indicate resources in the system information for the transmission of the data communication information and receive the data communication over the control plane without establishing an RRC connection with the UE or over a user plane without resuming an RRC connection with an RRC suspended UE.

Abstract: Example methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable mediums for wireless communication are provided. In one example, a first device may be configured to determine whether to allow unscheduled access to the first device by a second device. The first device may be configured to transmit, based on the determination, first information to the second device. The first information may include a first indication indicative of whether the second device is allowed to transmit to the first device outside of a scheduled access period, or a second indication indicative of whether the second device is allowed to transmit to the first device without first receiving a trigger.

Abstract: The extension of NB-IoT and eMTC communications into the unlicensed spectrum introduces a number of problems associated with channel quality measurement and reporting. A method, apparatus, and computer readable medium are presented that provide a technique for channel quality measurement and reporting that addressed such problems. A UE apparatus measures a CQI measurement for each of a plurality of groups of hopping frequencies, wherein a set of hopping frequencies is grouped into the plurality of groups and reports a CQI for each of the plurality of groups. A base station may configure the UE for CQI reporting and may receive a CQI for each of a plurality of groups of hopping frequencies, wherein a set of hopping frequencies is grouped into the plurality of groups. The set of hopping frequencies comprise frequencies in an unlicensed spectrum.

Abstract: In a wireless communications system, packet error rate may be relatively low (e.g., five percent). Accordingly, receivers may successfully receive a first transmission the majority of the time. However, bandwidth may be used for retransmissions, which may be used relatively infrequently. Because retransmission packets do not necessarily have to be the same as transmission packets, transmission packets may be given more weight than retransmission packets. For example, transmission packets may be encoded with a higher bitrate than retransmission packets. In aspects, a transmitter may send a first transmission packet, including first data encoded with a first bitrate, and send a second transmission packet, including second data encoded with the first bitrate. The transmitter may send a first retransmission packet that includes the first data encoded with a second bitrate and the second data encoded with the second bitrate, and the first bitrate may be higher than the second bitrate.
