Abstract:
A fashion doll (10) includes a doll body (11) wearing a wedding gown (18) together with an overlying removable princess bodice. The doll (10) further includes a pivotable arm (16) which in turn supports a hand mirror (20). The outer face of the hand mirror (20) supports a dual image lenticular lens display (80) which transforms the presented image in response to pivotal movement of the doll's arm. The doll further supports a tiara (30) worn upon the doll's head together with a wedding veil which is alternately attachable to the doll's waist and to the tiara (30). A sound circuit (73) within the doll's body responds to the pivotal movement of the doll's arm to produce a musical tone.
Abstract:
An interactive dress-up toy comprises removable clothing and accessories, sensor means to detect the specific item of clothing or the specific accessory worn by the toy, and communication means to communicate to the user the status of the clothing and accessories worn by the toy or missing from the toy. The sensor means may be adapted to detect a form of electromagnetic energy, and to detect the specific item of clothing worn by the toy. The material of the clothing is selected to be reflective or non-reflective of the form of energy to be detected by the sensor means, and may be fitted with a material to selectively trigger the sensor means.
Abstract:
A conventional doll (13) receives and supports a combination diving mask (10) and simulated snorkel unit (23). The combination diving mask and snorkel unit includes a mask body (20) supporting a transparent faceplate (21) and a snorkel mouthpiece (22). A snorkel body secured to the mouthpiece extends upwardly alongside the mask body and supports a resilient air bladder (35) having a fish shape. The snorkel further includes a bubble blowing mechanism which is operative in response to squeezing of the fish-shaped air bladder to produce a plurality of bubbles emanating from the upper portion of the snorkel body.
Abstract:
A toy building system for the construction of e.g. indoor settings and furniture element groupings, comprising a number of substantially box-shaped fittings (1, 2, 3) with a top surface, a bottom surface and a number of lateral walls, comprising a front with furniture-like functional parts, such as doors, shelves, etc., and a back (4) with coupling means (5, 6) and wherein each fitting (1, 2, 3) has at least two functionally identical coupling means (5, 6), said coupling means (5, 6) comprising coupling means (5) that protrude a distance from the back (4) of the fitting (1, 2, 3), and wherein the coupling means (5, 6) are arranged at a mutual modular distance and provided in such a manner that the fittings (1, 2, 3) may be interconnected back (4) to back (4) in at least two different positions relative to each other.
Abstract:
A toy table (10) including a table top (12), a central portion (16) of the table top being separately mounted from the remainder of the table top, apparatus for mounting the central portion of the table top to rotate and provide a first surface to the top and a second surface to the bottom, each of the surfaces of the central portion mounting item (17, 18) to appear on the table top, apparatus for rotating the central portion (16) to place the second surface facing upward and the first surface facing downward, and apparatus (53) for actuating the apparatus for rotating the central portion (16) in response to a push from one side or the other below the table top.
Abstract:
An electronic circuit arrangement having a first part and a plurality of second parts which may be connected or coupled to it. Each second part has the result of introducing an electrical component of a different value to the first part circuit and thereby initiates a particular action or set of actions at least one of which actions results in the generation of a sound. The sound generating electronic arrangement is particularly suitable for incorporation in toys, such as accessories for doll's houses. In one embodiment of the arrangement it is incorporated in a doll's cooker (100) having contacts (110, 111) which are bridged by model saucepans (113) and introduce particular values of resistance (114). A microcomputer responds to the different values of resistance to generate output pulses which when amplified and reproduced sound like cooking noises or noises associated with the particular cooking ustensils as, for example, the whistle of a kettle. In another embodiment for example doll's houses, the pins of the plugs of different appliances are of different lengths and this difference in length is used to determine a particular value of resistance for the second part. In another use of the arrangement the first part is embodied in a lock a second part is embodied in a key for the lock and the first part is such that when the correct key is used the lock is released but if an incorrect key is used an alarm signal is produced.
