Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
An adjustable article has an area of overlapping fabric with facing surfaces and a zipper on one of the surfaces. A zipper slider with fastener moves along two rows of teeth of the zipper to cause them to be separated in one direction and interdigitate in an opposite direction. A connector at the other surface and at one end of a distance of a dimension to be adjusted is engaged to the fastener so that a degree of overlap of the overlapping fabric surfaces changes as the slider moves along the rows of teeth to change the dimension.
Abstract:
A portable shelter including an expandable component and an expandable component support. The expandable component including at least one structural element, e.g., a wall, configured to extend from, and retract into, an opening in a wall of the portable shelter. The expandable component support including a first non-roller bearing assembly affixed to the portable shelter to bear at least a portion of the weight of the at least one structural element.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to body gear having designed performance characteristics, and in particular to methods and apparatuses that utilize an array of holographic heat managing elements coupled to a base material to direct body heat while also maintaining the desired transfer properties of the base material. In some embodiments, the heat managing material elements include heat-directing elements that reflect heat or conduct heat, and may be directed towards the body of a user or away from the body of the user.
Abstract:
An illumination device comprises a body arranged for providing a region of space accommodating a quantity of photoluminescent material (said material being preferably a rare earth and/or boron doped strontium aluminate or halogenated alkali earth metal aluminate). Said device is designed such that it can be removably arranged or integrally attached to an article such as a garment, backpack, buoyant article, boat, fishing rod, tent peg, collar, zipper, whistle or novelty device. Methods of manufacture of such a device also provided, both as a closed container in which photoluminescent material is provided, and as a substrate on which photoluminescent material is applied and subsequently covered by a covering layer.
