    摘要: An ophthalmic surgical system for insertion into an eye of a patient includes a body and a cutting element having a sleeve piece secured to and extending distally from the body, the sleeve piece comprising a port at an end and an inner piece disposed within the sleeve piece, the inner piece being moveable axially with respect to the sleeve piece. The system further includes a first electromagnetic coil disposed within the body and configured to generate a first magnetic field, a second electromagnetic coil disposed within the body and configured to generate a second magnetic field, a rod piece connected to the inner piece, a first magnetic ring, and a second magnetic ring, the first and second magnetic rings being fixedly secured to the rod piece such that magnetic rings are axially moveable between the first and second electromagnetic coils to open and close the port.

Each rotational element may be configured to convert linear motion into rotational motion. Further, the rotational element in a first lumen may be configured to impart a clock-wise rotation to a first leg of the two proximally extending legs, while the rotational element in a second lumen of the at least two lumens may be configured to impart a counter clock-wise rotation to a second leg of the two proximally extending legs.

    摘要: An anti-clogging device for a vacuum-assisted tissue removal system is provided. The device includes a tissue-separation chamber in a close proximity to (i) a cutting head operated by a physician and (ii) the physician for a filling and emptying by the physician during a tissue removal procedure, the cutting head and the tissue separation chamber in an operable communications with the suction assembly. The tissue separation chamber has an entry port in an operable communication with the cutting head for the entry of an excised tissue into the chamber, the excised tissue having a solid component and a liquid component; a baffle to separate the liquid component from the solid component; and, an exit port for the exit of liquid component out of the chamber. The tissue can include any tissue accessible through a small surgical opening, such as a nucleus pulposus tissue removed during a discectomy procedure.

    摘要: Current invention relates to a combined system developed for the purpose of use in the treatment of anorectal fistulas. Fistulectomy Set is a system consisting of fistulectomy and securing units which functions fully controlled on 6 axis and transmitting the pivoted movement which comes from the movement providing and transmitting part to the cutting edge by moving it on a central guide with the help of a motion carrier flexible shaft consisting of hexahedron spheroid parts. It consists of a cannulation apparatus which provides a simultaneous rotation, vibration and reciprocating movement and which detects the fistula trace fully and accurately. With this cutting edge, a channel surrounded by living tissue is obtained by cutting around the fistula trace cylindrically with suitable thickness, and thus cutting the secretory mucosa, dead tissues and fibrotic structures. With the developed system and treatment method, it is believed that important progress will be made in the treatment of anorectal fistula; an important social and medical problem. It will prevent the loss of labor force, shorten hospital stays, reduce costs and minimize complications of treatment. Most importantly, it will prevent anal incontinence and hence a very important problem will be solved.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide improved methods and apparatus of treating the prostate. In many embodiments, at least a portion of the prostate is enucleated with a water jet, in order to decrease the invasiveness of the surgery. The access to the prostate can be provided with one or more of open surgical access, percutaneous access, or urethral access. The prostate can be enucleated such that an inner portion of the prostate comprising adenomatous tissue of the prostate is separated from a portion an outer the prostate comprising the capsule. In many embodiments, the patient is treated with energy of the water jet configured to separate the capsule from the inner tissue of the prostate and to inhibit cutting of blood vessels.
