Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Copolymer (A) mit einer Glasübergangstemperatur Tg von mindestens -30°C erhältlich durch Copolymerisation einer Mischung von olefinisch ungesättigten Monomeren (a) in mindestens einem organischen Lösemittel und in Anwesenheit mindestens eines Initiators, wobei die zu polymerisierende Mischung der Monomeren (a) (a1 ) 10 bis 60 mol-% mindestens eines Monomers der folgenden Formel (I) mit R 1 = C 1 - bis C 4 -Alkoxy, R 2 = C 1 - bis C 4 -Alkyl und m = 0 bis 2, und (a2) 40 bis 90 mol-% mindestens eines olefinisch ungesättigten Monomers ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Monomeren der Formeln H 2 C=CH 2 -(C=0)-0-R x , H 2 C=CH(CH 3 )-(C=0)-0-R x sowie H 2 C=CH 2 -0-(C=0)- R x , wobei R x ein Alkylrest mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen ist, umfasst und wobei die Summe der molaren Anteile der Monomere (a1) und (a2), bezogen auf die molare Gesamtmenge an eingesetzten Monomeren (a), mindestens 90 mol-% beträgt, und wobei die Copolymerisation bei einer Temperatur von 60 bis 200°C und bei einem Druck von mindestens 2 bar durchgeführt wird.

Two or more solid surface panels joined with a polymerizable adhesive composition that forms an interpenetrating network when the components are polymerized. A sirup is made with a styrenic prepolymer, (meth)acrylate monomer and multifunctional (meth)acrylate crosslinking agent. The adhesive composition afforded by this sirup is polymerized in place using a conventional free radical initiators and activators.

In particular the present invention deals with a liquid (meth) acrylic syrup comprising an initiation system for polymerization at low temperature. More particular present invention relates to a liquid (meth) acrylic syrup comprising an initiation system for polymerization at low temperature said initiating system comprises at least one accelerator, at least one organic aldehyde, at least one peracid and at least one liquid peroxy compound; an impregnation process for a fibrous substrate, the liquid (meth) acrylic syrup for implementing this process and the obtained impregnated fibrous substrate. The impregnated fibrous substrate is suitable for manufacturing mechanical or structured parts or articles. The present invention concerns also the process for polymerizing a liquid (meth) acrylic syrup comprising an initiation system for polymerization at low temperature said initiating system comprises at least one accelerator, at least one organic aldehyde at least one peracid and at least one liquid peroxy compound. The present invention concerns also manufacturing process for manufacturing mechanical or structured parts or articles and three- dimensional mechanical or structured parts obtained by this process.

The present application describes compositions for making a cast, thermoformable sheet or slab, wherein the thermoformable sheet or slab demonstrates properties associated with both solid surface and polymeric materials. Additionally, the present application describes a method of welding the compositions described in the present application. Further, the present application describes a wall protection system utilizing the compositions described in the present application. Finally, the present application describes a method for laminating the compositions described in the present application onto a sheet or slab of a polymeric material.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine neuartige Polymerisationsmethode für (Meth)acrylate und Styrole, bei der die Polymerisation durch Isocyanate und spezielle Basen mit Imin-Struktur initiiert und dabei entweder immobilisiert wird oder zur Beschichtung oxidischer Oberflächen verwendet werden kann. Insbesondere unter Verwendung von siloxanfunktionellen Basen die Initiierung von einer oxidischen Oberfläche, wie zum Beispiel einer Siliziumoxid-Oberfläche, ausgehend durchgeführt werden.Dabei entstehen beschichtete Partikel bzw. sonstige Oberflächen, die mit dem entstandenen Polymer kovalent verknüpft sind.
