The present invention relates to a method for detecting bacteriolytic conditions in a test sample comprising the step of contacting the test sample with a bacterial strain and a substrate which undergoes a detectable change when cleaved by a specific enzyme of said bacterial strain, wherein the bacterial strain is unable of: (a) uptaking the substrate from the medium and (b) secreting the enzyme specific for the substrate outside of the cell and wherein detecting a change in the test sample due to the cleavage of the substrate by its specific bacterial enzyme indicates that bacteriolytic conditions exist in the test sample. The invention further provides a kit for performing the method of the invention.

These conjugates improve the physico-chemical and delivery properties of their carrying vesicles, making these more stable, homogeneous and effective. A method for their preparation, a pharmaceutical composition containing said liposomes, and their therapeutic use are described as well.

The present invention relates to a polyelectrolyte complex comprising a protein, a chitosan derivative and tripolyphosphate polyanion with an average particle diameter size lower than 200 nm. The present invention also relates to a process for manufacturing said polyelectrolyte complex. The present invention further relates to the use of said polyelectrolyte complex as a carrier and delivery sustem for proteins, in particular to be delivered to lysosomes and more particularly in endothelial cells. The present invention additionally relates to use of said polyelectrolyte complex for the manufacture of a medicament for treating a lysosomal disease, in particular Fabry disease.

Method of monitoring and control of processes of chemical or electrochemical deposition of compound thin layers based on the use of solutions and/or suspensions in liquid phase, by Raman spectroscopy measurements performed at real time conditions during the process and/or at the end of the process, comprising the following stages: a) defining spectral regions associated to the Raman active vibrational modes of the different phases characteristic of the thin layer; b) obtaining the Raman spectrum corresponding to the thin layer in the presence of the solution and/or liquid suspension; c) assessing the integral intensities of the spectrum obtained in each one of said spectral regions; d) comparing the integral intensities with the values corresponding to a previous calibration, with the purpose of determining if the time evolution of the parameters of the layer during its growth and/or its value at the end of the process correspond to the predefined characteristic parameters for the process.

La invención se refiere a un sistema y método de recopilación de datos para la detección y/o el diagnóstico de lesiones óseas que comprende: obtener una imagen radiológica digital de escala de grises y en formato mapa de bits; obtener al menos un área de interés de la lesión (AIL), entendiéndose por AIL una porción de la imagen donde se sospecha una lesión ósea; obtener, para cada AIL un área de interés del contorno (AIC), entendiéndose por AIC la zona que incluye porciones de la imagen contigua al AIL; calcular uno o más parámetros relativos a los niveles de gris de los pixeles en dicho AIL; y calcular uno o más parámetros relativos a los niveles de gris de los pixeles en el AIC.
