Abstract:
An improved toothbrush for superior cleaning in the embrazure (74) and occlusal groove (66) areas of the dentition. A handle (28), a neck (26), and a head portion (16) are connected in sequence. The head portion has a non planar shaped face (12). This shape can be mathematically represented by the combination of a sine wave (37) and a parabola (18). Inserted into non planar face (12) are bristles with varying inertia and orientation. Stiffer peak bristles (48) with higher inertia are positioned most adjacent to the dentition promoting better penetration and better strength yielding better cleansing ability in areas of the dentition that most need it; interproximal tissue (74) which is most susceptible to gum disease and occlusal groove (66) area which is most susceptible to decay. More supple outer row bristles (52) have lower inertia and are in a recessed position which promotes softer contact and protection of the most prominent and delicate areas of the dentition.
Abstract:
An electric toothbrush comprising a handle, a head, and a neck extending between the handle and the head. The electric toothbrush has a longitudinal axis. The handle has a hollow interior region, and has a motor disposed within the hollow region. The movable bristle holder is disposed on the head, and has a plurality of movable bristles disposed thereon. The drive shaft operatively connects the motor to the movable bristle holder to move the movable bristle holder and the bristles disposed on the movable bristle holder. The head has bristles disposed thereon. One or more bristles are disposed on a static portion of the head of the toothbrush. Movement of the drive shaft and/or the movable bristle holder results in movement of at least a portion of the one or more bristles disposed on the static portion of the toothbrush head.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Multi-directional wiping elements are disclosed. The wiping elements comprise intersecting squeegee segments that provide top wiping squeegee edges and side wiping squeegee edges. Devices utilizing the multi-directional wiping elements of the present invention can include bristles that are configured to simultaneously wipe a working surface with the wiping elements. In accordance with the embodiments of the invention, the multi-directional wiping elements are utilized in a toothbrush cleaning head that is configured to be operated manually or, alternatively, is motorized and is configured to rotate, oscillate, vibrate and/or move according to a combination thereof.
Abstract:
A toothbrush comprises a handle having an elongated head mounted to the handle. The head has a longitudinally central portion which comprises a plurality of longitudinally aligned segments connected to each other by a joint. Cleaning elements are mounted to the segments and extend outwardly from the outer surface of the head. A shelf-like protrusion extends laterally outwardly from each side of the central section. Further cleaning elements are flexibly mounted to the protrusions. Preferably the shelf-like protrusions are covered with an elastomer. The central section is made of a harder material than the material of the covered protrusions.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of tooth cleaning. According to the present invention a tooth cleaning device is provided, adapted to be introduced into the mouth. The tooth cleaning device comprises engaging means allowing it to be displaced all around the mouth by means of the tongue, thus performing a cleaning process.
Abstract:
A toothbrush is disclosed which comprises a handle that extends to form a planar base (11) in which there is mounted lowers ends of substantially vertically upstanding bristles, the planar base (11) and the bristles forming a head (10), the bristles being arranged into nine tufts (12) or more each consisting of a plurality of bristles, the tufts (12) being substantially equally spaced apart in the planar base (11), upper ends of the bristles forming a square pyramidal shape (14) with a base at a height of about 2mm to 10mm (A-B) above the planar base (11) and an apex with four planar sloping sides, each side of said shape having a slope (angle EDF) of from about 45° to about 65° and a length (DE) of about 6mm to 10 mm, the vertical height (B-C) of the apex above the base of the square pyramidal shape being from about 4mm to 12 mm.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electromotive toothbrush and more particularly, to an electromotive toothbrush, comprising a tooth cover that the brushes, prepared to cover one's multiple teeth, were implanted in the side of the tooth cover contacting the multiple teeth, an inside-driving load combined with the inner part of the tooth cover, an outside-driving load combined with the outer part of the tooth cover, and an elevator means a driving power supplied from a motor drives the inside-driving and the outside driving load to move in the opposite direction each other.
