The use of the zirconium salt improves color printing quality with non-impact printers, especially ink jet printer. For packing means with application in food industry, preferably for manufacture of ice-cream cones and shaped packages for various applications is designed a packing material comprising at least one basic paper layer based on a bleached sulphate cellulose, the basic paper layer being provided with an inside layer, comprising an ionic dispersion of a wax and paraffin with copolymer, and an outside layer comprising at least one coating with a mixture of kaolin and limestone. The basic paper layer comprises from 60 to 80 % of mass of a bleached sulphate coniferous cellulose, from 20 to 40 % of mass of a bleached sulphate deciduous cellulose, with components including from 5 to 25 % of mass of milestone, from 0,5 to 2,0 % of mass of cationic potato starch, from 0,5 to 2,0 % of mass of a synthetic sizing agent based on alkylketonedymar and from 0,1 to 2,0 % of mass of a retention agent based on polyamide resin, provided the charged mass of components relates to a total cellulose mass.

The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for distribution of hard particles to the surface of a paper web (20) impregnated with resin. The apparatus includes a feed hopper (3), a rotating doctor-roll (2) placed under the feed hopper (3). The doctor-roll (2) is in spaced relation to said paper web (20) fed under the doctor-roll (2). There is a means for releasing the particles from the doctor-roll (2) and distributing them evenly on the fed paper web. Said means comprises an electrode arrangement (4). The electrode arrangement (4) is enclosed by a casing (5) provided with a downwards directed sliding plate (7). The invention also includes a process where the apparatus is used as well as particle coated paper produced by the process.

After storage for 24 hours at 23 DEG C in water, the recording material has over 80 % of the tear strength of the dry paper, measured according to DIN 53128. Even after the storage in water, the colour difference DELTA E, measured according to DIN 6174, of coloured areas of the primary colours applied in the inkjet process is less than 10, based on the initial colour values.
