Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and systems for providing information available during the packaging process for a food to be available during the cooking process for the food.
Abstract:
According to a first aspect of the invention, there is provided a tool for decorating baked goods with one or more dragee bails, the too! comprising one or more of the following: an hopper, operable to accommodate one or more dragee bails therein; a plunger, operable to push said one or more dragee balls out of said hopper; a spring, operable to return said plunger to a starting position; a nozzle, operable to ensure that said one or more dragee balls are forced out of said tool, in an embodiment of the invention, said tool further comprises a main body with a channel running within, operable to accommodate said hopper and said nozzle attached thereto, !n an embodiment, said main body is operable to receive said plunger within a channel of the main body, and also able to accommodate a spring within.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the operation of a kitchen appliance (100). A processor (122) receives (220) a stored sequence of user settings and at least one recorded parameter, and applies (226) the stored sequence of user settings to the kitchen appliance. A sensor (140) senses at least one sensed parameter while the stored sequence of user settings is applied to the kitchen appliance (100). The processor (122) determines (228) a difference between the at least one sensed parameter and corresponding recorded parameter(s) and, if the determined difference exceeds a difference threshold, adjusts (234) at least one user setting applied.
Abstract:
A method for thawing frozen food provided in a thawing appliance, the thawing appliance having a membrane forming a barrier between the frozen food and a fluid, the fluid at least partly surrounding the frozen food in use to transfer heat from the fluid to a corresponding surface area of the frozen food, the method including: controlling the fluid 5 at a thawing temperature; monitoring a state of the thawing of the frozen food and generating a state indicator; and controlling the fluid at a conservation temperature when the state indicator indicates a thawing completion state.
Abstract:
A method and a wine decanter appliance (10) for automatically oxidizing wine. The wine decanter appliance (10) comprises means (107) for delivering a flow of oxygen laden gas to a quantity of wine to oxidize said wine, a communications module (6) connecting said wine decanter appliance (10) to a communications network (100), a memory (105)storing an application program, and a processor (104) configured to execute said application program to enable said wine decanter appliance (10) to exchange information through said communications network (100) with any one or any combination of : a server (101); a database (103); a network connected device (102), another wine decanter appliance or a group of other wine decanter appliances. The processor (104) is configured to control said wine decanter appliance (10) to oxidize the wine based on information received over said network (100) as a consequence of said exchange of information.
Abstract:
A jug for use with a frothing apparatus. The jug comprising: a vessel body for holding a liquid to be heated; a handle attached to the vessel body, the handle for holding the jug; a user interface for receiving an operation-related user input; a communication means adapted to communicate data associated with the jug to the frothing apparatus; and a controller for controlling the user interface and the communication means. In an embodiment, The frothing apparatus comprises: a steam heater, a steam nozzle, and a steam path providing fluid communication from the steam heater to the steam nozzle for delivering heating steam to the jug; communication means adapted to receive operating data from a cooperating communication means associated with the jug, the data comprising an operation- related user input; and a controller for controlling operation of the steam heater and the steam path based on the operation-related user input.
Abstract:
A device for cutting food into bite-sized portions includes a first component that includes a base section having a plurality of individual, separate food-receiving slots that are defined by a plurality of walls and are open at both ends thereof. At least some of the walls have arcuate shaped bottom edges. The first component further includes a handle that extends beyond the base section for grasping. Each food receiving slot is formed to have a predetermined shape. The device also includes a second component, separate from the first component, that includes a plurality of fingers that have closed bottom ends. The fingers are sized and shaped to be received within the individual, separate food-receiving slots for ejecting food that is contained in the food receiving slots.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to a food serving piece i.e. a table dish or foodware for containing, displaying or serving food, foodstuff and the like, which comprises at least one zone comprising an electrohydrodynamic transport element for transporting fluid food to the foodstuff present on the food serving piece (therefore called functional dynamic food dish). The present invention further relates to methods of such food serving piece use for changing the foodstuff (i.e. improving structure, texture or taste) after the foodstuff has been served, displayed or placed.
