Abstract:
The invention concerns a composition containing, in a physiologically acceptable medium: (a) at least a DHEA derivative selected among 7-hydroxy DHEA and 7-keto DHEA, and (b) at least a carotenoid. The invention also concerns cosmetic and dermatological uses of said composition, in particular for preventing or treating actinic skin ageing symptoms.
Abstract:
A product comprising as its main components henna and cocoa butter with the product having a solid form. Also a method of forming a solid form product comprising the step of mixing henna and cocoa butter to form a paste and allowing the paste to harden. Additives may be provided, such as a surfactant, a conditioning agent, a fragrance, a herb, a fruit extract, a vegetable, a natural way or butter, a synthetic wax, a humectant, glycerine, a vegetable oil. Preferably the product is formed of 40 % to 90 % henna by weight and 10 % to 60 % cocoa butter by weight. More preferably the product is formed of 60 % to 80 % henna by weight and 20 % to 40 % cocoa butter by weight. Most preferably the product is formed of 70 % henna by weight and 30 % cocoa butter by weight.
Abstract:
The invention concerns the use of the association of at least a plant extract of the genus Camellia and of at least a carotenoid to fight against collagen degradation and hence to fight against degradation of the skin and/or of mucous membranes by collagenase inhibition.
Abstract:
A method of preparing multicomponent salts of a compound in aqueous solution includes the steps of first selecting at least a weak acid, then selecting at least a first weak base, mixing an equivalent mole amount of the weak acid with the weak base in water to form an aqueous solution, adding at least a second weak base, to the solution and, finally, mixing the aqueous solution to yield a multicomponent salt composition.
Abstract:
The invention concerns compositions, comprising as active principle at least a glycosidase promoting scaling and not comprising protease. The invention also concerns the use of said compositions for treating dry skins or for preventing or treating skin ageing.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an anti-adiposis topical treatment composition comprising an efficient amount of at least an active anti-adiposis agent selected among Allium sativum bulb extracts except an hexane-extracted oleoresin extract, and a cosmetically or pharmaceutically acceptable carrier adapted for external use topical application, in particular on the skin. The invention also concerns the uses of said composition and its extracts as cosmetic for treating cellulite and localised dermal excess fat, and as therapeutic agent for treating obesity.
Abstract:
A cosmetic method of providing at least one skin care benefit selected from treating or preventing wrinkling, sagging, aged and/or photodamaged skin; boosting decorin production in skin, boosting transglutaminase type I and type III activity in skin, increasing stratum corneum flexibility, improving skin desquamation and epidermal differentiation, lightening skin colour, controlling sebum secretion, soothing irritated, red and/or sensitive skin, improving skin texture, smoothness, firmness and generally increasing the quality of skincomprising an effective amount of an extract Chromolaena Odorata.
Abstract:
The invention concerns the use of the association of at least a plant extract of genus Rosmarinus and of at least a carotenoid for fighting against collagen degradation, hence against degradation of the skin and/or mucous membranes by collagenase inhibition
Abstract:
The present invention relates to variants of subtilisin-like proteases having decreased immunogenicity relative to their corresponding wild-type proteases. More particularly, the present invention relates to variants having a modified amino acid sequence of a wild-type amino acid sequence, wherein the modified amino acid sequence comprises a substitution of one or more epitope regions. The invention further relates to mutant genes encoding such variants and cleaning and personal care compositions comprising such variants.
