    Abstract: A centrifugal separator having a device for the transformation of kinetic energy of a liquid rotating in a discharge chamber (12) around a rotational axis to pressure energy, comprising a discharge element (17) for the discharge of liquid out of the discharge chamber (12), which discharge element (17) has a radially outer part shaped as a body of revolution about the rotational axis and arranged to be located in a rotating liquid body in said discharge chamber (12), at least one outlet channel (19) formed in the discharge element (17) and having an inlet opening (18) located in a surface of the body of revolution and elongated in the liquid flow direction, the inlet opening (18) connecting to the interior of an outlet tube (16) via said outlet channel (19), wherein said outlet channel (19) having a defined axial height (h) and a defined width (w) which vary along their extension from the inlet opening (18) to the connection to said outlet tube (16) in such a way that a defined aspect ratio h/w decreases along at least a part (19b) of the extension of the outlet channel (19), and wherein a defined aspect ratio h/w being larger than 1 in an outer first part (19a) of said outlet channel (19) and decreasing to smaller than 1 in an inner second part (19b) of said outlet channel and wherein the height (h) decreases inwardly along the length of said outlet channel (19).

    Abstract: L'invention concerne un séparateur rotodynamique (30) pour séparer un liquide et un gaz d'un fluide multiphasique, notamment pour une utilisation dans le domaine pétrolier.     Abstract: A dynamic energy harvesting and variable harvesting force system is disclosed. A boost converter increases a motor voltage as a motor current associated with the motor voltage propagates through the boost converter thereby generating a boost voltage associated with the changing motor current. A power storage device stores energy harvested by the boost converter when the boost voltage exceeds an energy storage threshold. A controller dynamically adjusts a harvesting force applied by the motor so that the harvesting force is relative to the force applied to the motor. The controller also dynamically adjusts the harvested energy stored by the power storage device by adjusting the charging of the power storage device, ensuring that the boost voltage threshold is maintained. The boost voltage when maintained within the boost voltage threshold enables the power storage device to store the harvested energy without impacting the harvesting force applied by the motor.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide a fluid recovery system and method for use with concentrator systems for concentrating particles suspended in a fluid and where this suspension is recovered from a fluid stream drawn from the concentrator system. A controller is configured to control valve actuation to direct concentrate being drawn from the concentrator chamber through a recovery tube to a recovery reservoir based on fluid volume movement. The system can use a density sensor to detect density transitions in fluid in the fluid recovery tube to identify leading and trailing edges of a portion of concentrated particles in fluid suspension passing through the recovery tube and actuate recovery valves based on objectives for maximising particle recovery with minimal dilution.
