    Abstract: A system includes a reagent selector valve controllable to select a reagent flow path from a plurality of reagent flow paths, and a pump coupled to the reagent flow path to draw a liquid through the reagent flow path in accordance with a prescribed test protocol. The system includes a discharge flow path to expel the drawn liquid, and a flow meter to measure liquid displaced by the pump and that outputs data representative of the measured flow. The system also includes a processor to access the data and to determine a volume of the liquid displaced by the pump.

    Abstract: A spacecraft with a linear extension boom, an antenna feed, and a rigid antenna reflector is provided. The rigid antenna reflector may be connected with one end of the linear extension boom, and the other end of the linear extension boom may be connected with the spacecraft main body. In a launch configuration of the spacecraft, the linear extension boom may be retracted into a stowed configuration, and in an on-orbit configuration of the spacecraft, the linear extension boom may be extended into a deployed configuration, thereby moving the rigid antenna reflector away from the yaw axis of the spacecraft and positioning the rigid antenna reflector such that the focal point of the rigid antenna reflector may be oriented to align on, and be collocated with, the antenna feed. The rigid antenna reflector may be connected with the linear extension boom by a positioning mechanism that provides for adjustment in the angular orientation of the rigid antenna reflector relative to the linear extension boom.

    Abstract: An apparatus may include an ultrasonic sensor array and a control system. The control system may be configured to acquire first image data generated by the ultrasonic sensor array corresponding to at least one first reflected ultrasonic wave received by at least a portion of the ultrasonic sensor array from a target object during a first acquisition time window. The control system may be configured to acquire second image data generated by the ultrasonic sensor array corresponding to at least one second reflected ultrasonic wave received by at least a portion of the ultrasonic sensor array from the target object during a second acquisition time window that is longer than the first acquisition time window.     Abstract: Disclosed is a threshold selector that selects a threshold by generating a histogram from a detector signal and a flow cytometer. The detector signal includes both data and noise. A histogram is generated, which includes height data from the pulses of the detector signal as well as noise. The flow cytometer can be operated without samples to generate a histogram that includes only noise. The threshold signal can then be selected by selecting an intensity level on the histogram that is between the noise and data.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for pumping fluid through tubing are provided. The method includes orbiting first rollers around the periphery of a first disk at a first tangential speed in a first angular sector and a slower, second tangential speed in a second angular sector, orbiting second rollers around the periphery of a second disk at the second tangential speed, and increasing the pressure of fluid in tubing between one first roller and one second roller by causing the one first roller to fully compress the tubing at the first tangential speed and simultaneously causing the one second roller to fully compress the tubing at the second tangential speed.
