The invention concerns a terminal to be connected to a computer network (T) for managing products (6), such as watches, each equipped with an identifying element (8). The terminal comprises a sensor (7) provided with a device (70, 71) for reading the identifying element (8), and a device (72) for sensing complementary signals concerning the products (6) and transmitting them through the network (T), to a measuring device. The invention is applicable to quality control in distribution networks.

A timer and alarm apparatus suitable for complementary use with medication containers or other similar vessels. The timer includes an electric elapsed time measuring unit (12) and a display unit (17) for indicating the elapsed time, an interval set unit (13) for presetting a desired time period, an alarm unit (14) to signal the conclusion of the preset interval and a reset unit (18) to reinitiate the measurement of elapsed time. The timer also includes a unique capsule-shaped housing (11) and includes an elastic strap (39) for disposition about an appropriate container. The reset unit may be automatically responsive to the periodic dispensation of the contents of the container.
