The said blocking system comprises at least one elastic device (1) comprising at least one inflatable elastic membrane associated preferably with at least one rigid device (2), said rigid device preferably associated with at least one, preferable linear, actuator (72) capable of approaching and / or pushing the said elastic membrane in direct or indirect contact with the dishes (6) or objects to be treated by blocking them to the preferred parts of the basket (3). Die Vorrichtung (12) weist einen Sensor (13) zum Erfassen von spektralen Messwerten von organischen Verbindungen in Spülwasser in dem wasserführenden Haushaltsgerät (1), eine Bestimmungseinheit (14) zum Bestimmen von funktionellen Gruppen der organischen Verbindungen basierend auf den erfassten spektralen Messwerten der organischen Verbindungen und eine Anpassungseinheit (15) zum Anpassen von Spülparametern eines aktuellen Spülprogramms basierend auf den bestimmten funktionellen Gruppen auf.

A warewash machine includes a housing defining a chamber for receiving wares, the chamber having at least one spray zone, a wash spray system for spraying wash liquid onto wares and a rinse spray system for spraying rinse liquid onto wares. At least one radar transceiver is located for detecting wares feeding into the chamber and/or for detecting wares within the chamber. A controller is associated with the radar transceiver and configured to identify one or more of ware location, ware movement, ware size, ware shape and/or ware material based upon outputs from the at least one radar transceiver. The controller is further configured to control at least one operating parameter of the machine based at least in part upon identified ware location, identified ware movement, identified ware size, identified ware shape and/or identified ware material.

The method of determining whether process water is present in a circulation pump (21) of an appliance (1) for washing and rinsing goods comprises measuring a minimum value of a property representing load of the circulation pump (21) at a predetermined first speed, measuring a maximum value of a property representing load of the circulation pump (21) at a predetermined second speed, the second speed being higher than the first speed, determining a relation between said minimum value and said maximum value, and determining, from said relation, whether process water is present in the circulation pump (21).
