Abstract:
A retrieval device with a shapeable snare shaft for use in minimally invasive medical procedures. The retrieval device may further comprise a delivery conduit configured to receive both a snare shaft and a guidewire in one or more lumens. The retrieval device may also include a snare loop at both ends of the snare shaft.
Abstract:
A collapsible walking device that can be disposed in an operative (open) configuration and a storage (closed) configuration. The open, operative configuration of the walking device provides a structure to aid a user in walking or standing. The closed, storage configuration allows for easy and convenient storage and transport of the walking device. The collapsible walking device can be transitioned from the operative configuration to the storage configuration in one motion. The walking device includes four support legs that extend to the ground from adjacent two handles.
Abstract:
Soil amendments which include starch-based superabsorbent polymer (SAP) particles are combined with a liquid fertilizer solution to form a flowable suspension. Methods for manufacturing the SAP liquid fertilizer suspension are disclosed. The starch-based SAP product may include a monomer graft polymerized onto a starch in the presence of an initiator to form a starch graft copolymer. Various mesh sizes of granular SAP particles may be mixed with a liquid fertilizer solution that optionally includes a micronutrient multivalent cation solution.
Abstract:
Coatings for medical devices are provided. The coatings may be lubricious coatings including one or more hydrophobic compounds, adhesion agents, shape memory polymers, free-radical initiators, and/or carrying solvents. Methods of applying the coatings to medical devices are also provided. The coatings may be applied in a single layer or in multiple layers.
Abstract:
Coatings for skis and snowboards are provided. The coatings may be lubricious coatings including one or more fluorinated compounds, adhesion agents, shape memory polymers, free-radical initiators, and/or carrying solvents. Methods of applying the coatings to skis and snowboards are also provided. The coatings may be applied in a single layer or in multiple layers.
Abstract:
The present disclosure illustrates an introducer sheath with a partially annealed metal frame. The introducer sheaths described herein include a hub coupled to a shaft. The shaft comprises a braided wire frame with (i) an annealed distal portion that prevents the braided wire frame from unraveling at a distal end, and (ii) a second portion that is unannealed; a jacket encompassing the braided wire frame; and a liner forming an inner wall.
Abstract:
Prosthesis deployment devices are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the prosthesis deployment device comprises an elongate delivery catheter assembly configured for electrosurgery and also configured to retain and deploy a prosthesis. Kits comprising the prosthesis deployment devices with a prosthesis loaded into a prosthesis pod of the device are disclosed herein as well as methods of using the prosthesis deployment devices.
Abstract:
Medical devices for delivering a plug to a void within a patient. The medical device can include a fluid delivery device, and a plug holder (e.g., a plug delivery device) coupled to a distal end of the fluid delivery device. The medical device may be configured such that the delivery of fluid from the fluid delivery device wets the plug, ejects the plug from the plug holder, and pushes the plug through a lumen of an elongate tube to a void within a patient.

Abstract:
Break-away connectors are disclosed. The break-away connectors may be configured to be coupled in at least two configurations, for example, a high force configuration and a low force configuration. The break-away connectors may also be incrementally adjustable between the high force configuration and the low force configuration. The break-away connectors may be coupled to a first medical device and a second medical device. Methods of using and/or coupling the break-away connectors are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The embodiments disclosed herein relate to edible print substrates. The edible print substrates can include one or more starches, celluloses, dextrins, sugars, humectants or plasticizers, or emulsifiers, or combinations thereof. In certain instances, the edible print substrates include maltodextrin having a DE of between about 5 and about 20. The edible print substrates can also include glycerine. The edible print substrates can be formed into single layer and multi-layer constructions.
